Jema's POV
Ella.
She was staring at her laptop and we were standing sa harap nya. After a few seconds, she took a glance at us and she was staring straight to me seriously.
"By the way, Ms De Jesus.. Ms Galanza.. the new Asst Manager of your department.. Ms Galanza.. This is Ms De Jesus.. your Manager" Ella then held her hand for a shakehand
"Nice to meet you.. again.. Ms Galanza" Ella said and looking straight to me and inabot ko ang kamay nya for a shakehands.
"Nice meeting you po Ella... I mean,,Ms De Jesus" I was stuttered.. I don't know what to do.. tama ba na andito ako.
"You can call me Ella.. Jema.. Employees here called each other on their names." Ella said and after a few talks.. HR then led me outside again in my table at timing tapos na e set up ni IT ang laptop ko.
"Don't worry Jema.. Si Ella ang pinakamabait na manager dito" sabi naman ng HR and I knew Ella very well.. pero sobrang seryoso nya kanina.
Then maya-maya I saw Mike na dumaan at pumasok sa office nya after a few Minutes sabay silang lumabas at nakasmile pa si Ella habang nag uusap sila and nakakawit pa ang kamay ni Ella sa braso ni Mike.. though Ella poured a quick glance to me.
I was just staring to them.. bagay naman sila and looks like they have a healthy relationship.
I had a little tour pa sa ibang department and I learned that the company were owned by Mike's Parents. I never thought that Mike is this kind of rich.
"Hi.. I am Jia and this is Kyla" lapit saken ng dawala kong katabi na nasa office.
"Hi.. I'm Jema" at nakipagshakehands ako.
"Welcome to the team.. though technically ibang dept pala kami ni Kyla and Si boss Ella and Ikaw palang magkasama sa team kasi binubuo palang ang dept ni Ella." paliwanag ni Jia.
"ahh.. I see" sabi ko nalang.
"Pero si Ella ang pinakamabait sa lahat.. dati kasi solo lang sya pero nung nag expand ang company need nya na ng help" sabi naman ni Kyla.
"tara Lunch.. sama kana samen" Aya ni Jia
"Sure.." sabi ko nalang at sumama na ako sa kanila.
Okay naman kasama si Jia at Kyla.. madaldal at madaming kwento. After lunch bumalik na ako at nag browse ng binigay ni HR na aralin ko daw na rule book at iba pang related sa company. Around 2pm bumalik na si Ella and Mike. I saw Mike entered the room again ni Ella at a few minutes lumabas ulet.
May nag pop up sa teams ko and I saw Ella De Jesus.
"Do you have a minute"
"Yes po" my reply
"Please come to my office"
"Got it po" my reply
I knocked the door glass then I saw her staring straight to her laptop.
"I will send to you some PPT for you to study.. it consists of the stuff we do in this department.. I am not sure if the HR explained to you but for now only you and me will be doing the stuff for this team but we are hiring new members. So expect some loads more than you expect." Ella explaining about work.
"Okay.. got it po" I replied.. I felt a little awkward kasi we knew kung ano kami.
"La.. " i was calling her the way I called her.
"Yes?" she replied
"Hindi lang ako sanay na sobrang seryoso mo" I said
"we are at work so we should be professional diba?" Ella replied
"Yeah.. tama ka naman.. at hindi lang ako sanay na medyo cold ka saken" I added
"Do I need to explain why?" Ella said and was looking straight to me.. Para akong lalamunin ng lupa kasi hindi naman talaga ako nagpaalam ng maayos sa kanya then I sighed last 3 months lang ang warm ng bungad nya saken then now.
"I am sorry la" I said
"Je.. We shoudn't talk about it when we are at work.." Ella said and change the topic
"Sent.. check your email then. thank you" Ella said and lumabas na ako.
I sighed.. dapat tinago ko nalang talaga dati.. I miss the Ella I knew.
