A/n: Request from @PIRA_VAMPZ Trans!N x V [Human AU].  Slight bullying trigger warning, also I use N's pronouns he/him until its explained to V how N prefers to be acknowledged, so I put a small side note to tell you when I changed N's pronouns to be she/her.  IF ANYONE HAS A REQUEST THEY WOULD LIKE TO PUT DOWN, PLEASE GO TO MY SECOND VOLUME OF ONESHOTS ON MY PROFILE IN THE FIRST CHAPTER. I AM FINISHING UP THE ONESHOTS ON HERE AND THE BOOK WILL BE ENDING SOON, BUT THE SECOND VOLUME IS UP AND MORE ONESHOTS WILL BE POSTED ON THERE.  Anyways, enjoy!

V was sitting in her history class, bored out of her mind. Her sparkling black manicure was looking more interesting than the presentation slides on the projector as she sighed. Looking around the classroom, she noticed a certain fluffy-haired male not too far away from her, his gaze on the board was nothing short of deep, caught in the moment of 'the critical essence of history' as their teacher liked to say. N was someone V could never wrap her head around, someone she could never understand. While he was a huge nerd, only caring about school and grades, the female herself was part of the cheer team, getting a good B average at best. It was enough to keep her on the roster, so she applied herself to the best of her abilities.

The bell rung and brought her back to reality, the teacher getting angry once again since supposedly the bell doesn't dismiss the students, he does. However, they all told him to shove it up his ass.

"I don't get paid enough for this."

The female cheerleader snickered to herself a little as she waved a small goodbye to the teacher, who simply just nodded his head in response. Walking out of the classroom, she noticed a group of her friends, J and Lizzy, in their cheer uniforms, laughing over at someone on the ground. She walked closer to the figure huddled into themselves, only to find...N?!

"What's going on?" V asked, approaching the fellow cheerleaders, Lizzy kept snickering while J turned to face her..

"Synergistic Liability here thought he could trust Thad enough to tell him something ridiculously personal."

"Personal?"

"Yeah, apparently he's 'Trans'." J scoffed while using her fingers to mock the term. She rolled her eyes before looking back down at the boy they pushed to the ground, hands moving to her hips. "Honestly, he doesn't get the right. Males don't even know half the shit we go through."

V looked at J confused, she had heard of the term before but was still new to the concept of LGBTQ+ culture and language. She looked at N, he was slowly starting to pick himself up, sulking down the hallway. There was something in her chest that made the painful glimpse in his eye hurt. He looked back at her with some kind of hope, but all he found was confusion.

"You're just like the rest of them." He told her bitterly before continuing on.

The two cheerleaders just called N names while he made his escape, and V sat there completely shocked. The rest of them? She didn't say anything. She looked down at her outfit, she too, wore the cheer uniform.

Maybe that's why...

V glanced at herself in the mirror inside of one of the bathrooms. She switched her uniform out for an extra plain t-shirt and jeans she had in her locker. She took out her preppy yellow headband she normally wore, letting her hair fall loosely around her ears, bangs releasing form the sides they were tucked in. Finally, she opted taking her contacts out and switching them for her glasses she kept with her.

This was how she normally dressed when she was at home usually, but she figured she could try to make N feel a little more comfortable while talking to him. She wanted to understand him, wanted to know what being Trans meant. She wanted to give N a chance because honestly...ever since freshmen year she had a crush on the little nerd. Her clique however prevented her from doing so. The more she thought about this small little detail, she began to feel stupid.
