N and his lovely goth girlfriend sat in the back of the classroom listening to other projects her classmates were presenting. Pointless murmurs of things like the first Copper-9 explosion, the way how the core works now, there was even one talking about a conspiracy theory about how Uzi was their new god, something the purple drone didn't necessarily hate. In fact, it made her snicker a little.

However, the couple was concerned for another drone, one they hadn't seen in three days since defeating the solver. They inquired to Lizzy about her, but V was nowhere to be seen. N and Uzi tried to think of where she could have gone, perhaps to look for J? Or was she trying to get off the planet herself? Had she done so already? There were too many possibilities.

Their inquiries seemed to be answered however, since after Lizzy's presentation on missing Doll and needed some therapy from her friend's, the male murder drone's visor was alerted with a message, a yellow chat box coming from V herself.

V: Hey, can you and purple thing come to the landing pod? We need to talk.

His tail shot up and wagged, happy to hear she was alive at least. His glance went from the visor's main screen over to Uzi, who was looking at him questioningly. He forwarded the message to her, and her hued optics hollowed. She let out a fanged smile before grabbing his hand and dashing out of the classroom, using her 'godlike' authority as a reason to ditch without consequences.

The fly to the pod had only taken about five minutes, both the worker and murder drone on edge, circuits shot from a large amount of nervousness. They didn't know what had happened to V after Uzi ate Cyn's core. Everyone seemed to get separated. Hell, Uzi didn't even find Nori or Khan until a day later when they were using the bus to gather up the survivors. But V? She was nowhere to be seen. Like she had been swiped off the face of Copper-9.

The purple worker usually didn't like to show or admit her emotions, but when she spotted V outside of the pod huddled in on herself, she immediately shot down and crashed right into her, trapping the female murder drone in a hug, N crashing right along with her.

"V! We were so worried about you! Are you okay?" N asked in a panic, but V could only nod her head in response, a weak smile spreading onto her visor. She then looked down at Uzi, spotting her hued optics for the first time. It shook her, but nonetheless the female murder drone just sighed and rubbed her head.

"N...Uzi...I-I'm so sorry." V's voice broke out into a sob. Digital tears ran down her visor, making the couple glance at each other before putting their attention back onto her. Uzi huddles up into V's side while N crouched himself in front of her, putting a hand on her lap for support.

"V, what's going on? What are you sorry for?" The male murderer asked, not completely understanding the memo.

"There was so much...so much I wanted to tell you. But I thought if we just did our jobs LIKE SHE SAID-then...we'd be fine. But that's not what happened, and instead she came after us-god she hurt you...she hurt Uzi...she put people's lives at stake and I couldn't protect anyone! I-I'm nothing but a useless piece of scrap metal that just did her dirty work..." V was full-on crying now, her breaths shortening as Uzi hushed her and rocked her back and forth to try and ease her pain. N's optics on the other hand hollowed out.

She's been carrying the pain with her for that long? Since the manner?

"Oh, V..." He lifted V's chin to make her look up at both him and the fellow worker beside them. Her mouth parted a little when she saw smiles on their faces instead of pained or angry expressions. "We're not mad, I could never be mad at you, we've been through everything together." Uzi nodded in response and began to talk herself.

"You may have murdered workers before, but...you were trying to protect those you love. I understand that now." She held N's hand and looked at him before fixating her gaze onto V again. The female murder drone sat there for another minute before weakly giggling at Uzi's response.

"That was so freaking cheesy."

"I-uh-Bite me!" The purple worker's visor flushed from embarrassment, making N laugh. Their conversation moved to the inside of the pod where they could all get a little more comfortable, and V was finally starting to calm down, feeling like the weight on her shoulders lifted. She felt new, improved. She finally felt free of Cyn's grasp, a feeling she would never forget.

She saw how Uzi and N were holding hands, the both of them talking her audio sensors off about pointless little things, but she couldn't help but to stare at the clasped grip they both held one another in.

"About time you two got together. I was starting to think I needed to plot some kind of plan with Lizzy to get you both to confess your feelings. So, when's the wedding? Also, if you have a kid, I call dibs on being the aunt/godmother." She teased the new couple, it made N's systems completely restart, windows popping up on his visor while the purple worker's wings puffed out. She yelled to V her usual 'Bite me!' mantra and flew off with him, leaving her there at the pod alone, once again. She knew this time though, she could return to the colony, a welcoming smile gracing her presence instead of pained expressions all around her.

"Little narcs." She giggled to herself once more before returning to her resting chambers considering the sun was about to come up. She figured she could move into the colony once the sun went back down, starting a new chapter in her life. The amount of things she needed to pack up wasn't a ton, considering the only things to her name were human valuables from the destroyed planet. Only a small little box in the corner was all that was necessary to bring with her. Looking around for anything else she may want, her optics landed on a picture with her, N and J. She frowned, seeing how it was them all together before the mission on Copper-9.

Before, well sort of before, everything went to shit.

Maybe it was a good thing this happened. If we never would have came here, N would have never met the purple toaster. I would have never met amazing people like Lizzy and then some. But J...

She glanced down at the pigtailed murder drone wearing an annoyed expression in the frame. She wished J would have been more patient, more considerate in her choices, but maybe she was still out there somewhere. Waiting to regenerate or to be rebooted. The female murder drone herself shrugged and supposed that would have to be a problem for a later date, not that anything could beat literally swallowing the damn solver like how Uzi did.

V paused for a moment before an idea came to mind, she accessed her files to bring up an image of the purple worker and sent the signal of the imaged format to a printer near her she managed to recover. The machine made a beeping noise before swallowing a piece of paper, then spitting it out with the inked image. She traded both her index and middle fingers for her claws, using them as a pair of scissors and cutting out Uzi's head in the picture.

She then retracted her claws back into fingers again, grabbing a piece of tape before putting it over where J's head was in the framed photo.

This is so damn stupid...but funny at the same time! Purple thing would look good as a murder drone.

V laughed at the picture, hugging it close to her core before falling back onto the bed, her optics beginning to laze off, the sound of the cold breeze flowing past the pod outside lulling her to sleep.

"We all need to get a photo together soon."
