The young girl fell to her knees, hot tears spilling down her face as she watched the scene in front of her.

Remember Tessa, you didn't have to see this.

"I should have stayed in the basement." She muttered to herself, her parents fresh corpses lay in front of her. Their eyes widened with fear and their mouths open as if to plead for mercy, something Cyn clearly didn't have. Not to far away from her she could hear some kind of crunching, she didn't dare to turn around.

She knew what Cyn was doing, and she knew she wouldn't have the stomach to see a dead body being feasted upon. She was the only one left alive in the manner despite the worker bots all around her, all of them possessed and waiting for further orders. Tessa looked to J, the one who didn't let her out of the ballroom, the one who just...stood there. Not being able to do or say a word.

"Cyn...please...no more." Tessa begged, her hands clenching into fists, laying them against the cold and blood-drenched floor. Blood was everywhere, including on her. Her black dress was stained with it to a point of notice, and her bow had fallen off her head at some point. Not that she would care at the current moment.

She felt some kind of eldritch arm hug her shoulder, making her stiffen in fear. Cyn's watchful yet frightening gaze on the human girl was nothing short of hungry. But the solver knew better than to hurt her, or else its host would be very upset.

"Come now, let us get you somewhere different. You should not be in here right now...Tessa. I warned you." The voice box hit Tessa's ears like a bunch of bricks, the girl no longer was able to take it and let the bile rise from her throat.

Ten years later, it had been ten years later, and Tessa sat in an office cubicle on what Cyn liked to call 'The New and Improved Earth'. Humans with a high enough IQ were spared from the murder drone's hungry appetites and instead were kidnapped to the JcJenson Corporation, the place where the human girl was currently second in command, the first obviously being Cyn herself. In a way, Tessa didn't necessarily hate Cyn for what she did, humanity was always going to collapse, and she knew that.

Humanity wasn't going to last forever, it was only natural something was bound to eventually happen to it. It's why Tessa risked bringing back the workers like N, V, J and Cyn. She herself just wanted to watch the world burn, and in her own sick, twisted little mind, that's what she got. She slowly raised herself from her chair and walked over to the windows. The sky grazed with red, and she caught a glimpse of a murderous pair of drones tearing apart a human in the sky, his pleads for help muted by the safety of the glass separating them and her.

It took a long time for her to get used to sights like that, sights that were ungodly to the human race. However, Cyn's opinion was different.

"With time, you will get used to it. It is a natural way of how the human species works."

Tessa rubbed her face with her hands, letting out a small groan. She was now twenty-eight years old, and while there were still humans on this earth and inside of the building with her, she never found anyone to strike her fancy. Even with the human race on the brink of a collapse, she didn't allow herself to find love. She didn't see the point in it, taking it as spending out the rest of her days until all of humanity was finally gone.
