A/N: Request from @BrianGeller N x Tessa.  This is two of three parts.

It had been about three months since N and Tessa ran away together. They managed to reside in a college dorm, blending in with the crowd easily. Apparently, N's contact Sam, his father was one of the well-known professors of the college, scoring them a place that was relatively cheap. Which the both of them couldn't be more grateful for.

It was the middle of spring, Tessa's favorite time of year, N knew this in particular, planning a surprise for her. She had just woken up, rubbing her eyes, her figure resting in his arms.

"Good morning, love." He kissed her temple, and she hummed in delight.

"Morning..." He laughed at her muttering.

"Love, wake up. I have a surprise planned." This made Tessa shoot up, her expression was one with excitement, making N fall in love with her more.

"A surprise? What is it?"

"Well, I can't tell you because then it won't be a surprise anymore."

"N!!!" She playfully punched his shoulder, and he straddled her in his lap. He kissed her on the nose before rubbing her back.

"Get on a comfortable outfit that you love, and when you're ready to go, let me know." He spoke, she nodded, giving him a small peck on the lips before running into the bathroom to begin her day.

I love her so much...

N laid in bed for about another minute, letting his body soak in the sunlight that leaked into the window past the blinds. He himself then got up, putting on a plaid shirt with some jeans. Walking into the kitchen, he began to take a cooler, putting in the things he needed for his little surprise before Tessa came walking into the main entrance.

"What do you think?" Her voice greeted his ears and he turned around to look at her. His mouth left slightly ajar.

"Oh, love. You're beautiful." His comment made her blush, she struck another pose for him. Her long brown hair was held up into a pony-tail, her signature black bow holding it all together, something she never got rid of even after the manner. Her sundress went to a little below her knees, white with printed flowers, looking down to her shoes, she wore black flats. Truly a comfortable yet beautiful fashion choice, one that N loved.

He held his arm out to her while the other held the small cooler, she took it, and they both left the apartment. Walking out into the nice fresh air, Tessa laid her head on his shoulder, he let out a soft hum before they eventually approached the park not to far off of campus. He looked around for a tree, finding one he was satisfied with providing enough shade. He soon set the cooler down, opening it to reveal a checkered cloth, Tessa soon realized what he was doing.

"A PICNIC?!" She squealed, jumping around.

"That's right, but one more thing, just to get you excited while I prepare this..." He taunted, slowly pulling something out that made Tessa's eyes widen.

"You didn't!" She gasped as N pulled out a book she had seen at the book store the other day, one she had her eye on for months.

"Oh, but I did." He said while handing it to her. She took the material, flicking through it before jumping into his arms again. He caught her, the two of them twirling around as she kissed his face.

"I love you so much!"

"Love you too hon." He sat Tessa down, pulling out the sandwiches and iced tea he had brought with him. Tessa positioned herself on the checkered blanket while leaning against the tree. She opened the book and N laid on his back next to her, he himself reading a book he saw from the book store he had been interested in.

For the next hour the two read together on a little book date, the weather was perfect, and Tessa was happy right in that moment, wishing it could last forever. However, she saw N start to doze off a little, his book kept hitting his face and it made her giggle. She set her book down and snatched his from his hands.

"Hey!" He whined, but Tessa shook her head.

"Nuh-uh mister, you're tired. Come here." She told him, patting her lap. He looked to her, blushing but he complied. He scooted himself over to where he was still laying down, but now his head was in her lap. She began to softly pet his hair, making his body relax. The park was quiet, perhaps only the sound of a few children playing not too far away. The wind blew, but it created a nice chill against the heat that would soon start to turn up as the year went on.

There's nothing more I could want right now. I'm so happy he took me away, took me to where I could live freely. If not for him...I don't know if I'd even be alive right now.

Tessa glanced down at her cute boyfriend, he stared up at her, eyes droopy but still open. He cupped her cheek before she leaned down to connect their lips. His were soft, comforting and welcoming, while hers had the slightest bit of eagerness to them. She pulled back and her hands went from petting his hair to resting on his chest. He laid his hands on top of hers, and she giggled at a little thought that occurred.

"This reminds me of those one anime scenes that I've seen. How about we get married~." She teased in a joking manner, N, who was beginning to actually succumb to slumber mumbled a response she never would have expected.

"Okay, love."

"Wait what?!"
