["How have you been, Summer?"] the old therapist from the FaceTime call asked. ["Candace told me what happened."]

I gulped. Of course Candace will tell her. And Doc Janet will bring it up.

["Are you okay?"] Doc Janet asked. ["How are you keeping up?"]

How am I keeping up? The article was published yesterday and until now, we haven't addressed it. But all of the media in the country have my face now as their headline.

How am I keeping up? I've been locked up in my suite for the whole day since yesterday. May event ako, eh. But Candace took care of everything. The event was canceled and she made me stay in my suite all day.

She confiscated my cellphone and all of my electronics so I have no chance to look at what is happening in the media. She just gave me my laptop now because I have a session with Doc Janet.

I feel like a kid on a leash. But I know Candace is just worried about me. Because if I'm left on my own, I probably would've broken down since seeing the article.

["...mer? Summer?"]

I blinked. I turned my eyes back to the screen of the laptop. Doc Janet was watching me intently with her brows furrowed.

"Yes?" I asked.

Her lips came together and she sighed. ["Please take it easy, Summer. You're thinking too much again."]

I bit my lip, looking away. "Sorry."

Sa tagal ko ng kasama ang therapist na ito, kilalang kilala na niya ako. And she's the only therapist I had these past years na ganito kaalaga.

["How's your sleep?"] she asked.

"It's good." The lie slipped like water falling.

Doc Janet eyed me. ["I can see the bags under your eyes even through the camera."]

Nakusot ko tuloy ang mata ko nang wala sa oras. I didn't know she could see me that well through the call.
