The next morning, Lucifera stood at the front of the group, determination in her eyes. The soft glow of dawn filtered through the room as she spoke.
"I've made my decision," Lucifera said, her voice firm. "It's time to search for my wings. I can't stay here, wondering what happened to them. I need to know. We start today."
Lilith, Zephiron, and Finn exchanged looks, but none of them disagreed. They had all seen how much the loss weighed on Lucifera. It was clear this journey was something she needed, not just for herself, but for peace.
Lilith, ever supportive, placed a hand on Lucifera's shoulder. "We'll find them. Together."
Zephiron crossed his arms, nodding. "There's no turning back once we start. But you know we've got your back."
Finn, his usual nervous energy replaced by a surprising sense of resolve, smiled. "I've got my book, and I'll help however I can."
Lucifera smiled back, her heart heavy but filled with hope. "Let's go then. The road ahead may be long, but I'm ready."
And with that, the group set off, leaving their temporary home behind as they embarked on a journey to uncover the truth about Lucifera's wings.
Lucifera and Zephiron made their way to the guild, the towering stone structure bustling with adventurers coming and going. Lucifera's mind was focused on their goal: to find a way to uncover the truth about her wings, wherever they may be hidden.
They entered the guild's lobby, and the clerk behind the desk glanced up as they approached. "What can I do for you today?"
Lucifera cleared her throat, her voice steady but with a sense of urgency. "We're planning a journey, one that will take us across the country. We're looking for something... a treasure, something rare that could help us in our search."
Lucifera and Zephiron made their way to the guild, the busy atmosphere of adventurers and traders filling the air as they entered. Lucifera's mind was focused on their goal: they needed to find a way to reach the kingdom, the place where the truth about her wings might be hidden.
Upon entering the guild, they approached the clerk behind the desk, who looked up from his paperwork with a slightly weary expression. "Can I help you?"
Lucifera spoke first, trying to keep her tone steady. "We're planning a journey to the kingdom, but we're not sure how to get there. We need some guidance on the best route, any advice on travel, and what we'll face on the way."
The clerk raised an eyebrow at the mention of the kingdom. "The kingdom? It's a long way from here. You're looking for directions, I take it? Well, there are a few ways to approach it, but the safest route is through the main roads. However, you'll need to be prepared. There are some dangerous places between here and the kingdom."
Zephiron nodded, his arms crossed as he spoke. "We're prepared. Just tell us what we need to know."
The clerk paused, his face growing more serious. "You're lucky you came here. I can't just give out maps, but I can tell you about the safest route. You'll want to head east through the forest. Once you pass the forest, you'll find yourself in a valley. There are a few smaller towns on the way, but beware of bandits in the hills. After the valley, you'll cross the plains, and from there, it's mostly clear roads until you reach the kingdom. But I warn you, the roads through the valley are often difficult to navigate, and not everyone makes it through."
Lucifera took in the information, nodding thoughtfully. "So the forest is the first step?"
The clerk nodded. "Yes, but like I said, it's not an easy path. You'll need to be ready for anything. I'd recommend speaking to some of the locals in the towns along the way—they might have additional information that could help you."
