The dimly lit office buzzed with a tense silence as Jungkook and Taehyung's team reviewed every detail, every scrap of evidence, hoping to strengthen their case. The weight of Jiha’s story and Yuna’s courage hung heavily in the room. Just as Taehyung was arranging the latest witness statements, Jungkook’s phone rang, startling everyone.
Jungkook picked up, immediately recognizing Seo Yuna’s voice. But it wasn’t her usual soft tone—this time, she sounded terrified, her words coming out in a breathless, panicked rush.
“J-Jungkook,” she gasped. “They know. They found out I testified. I’m… they’re coming after me.”
A chill ran down Jungkook’s spine. “Where are you, Yuna?”
“I… I’m still in the agency building,” she stammered, her voice thick with fear. “They… they’re chasing me. I don’t know how long I can—” Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the phone, followed by static. Then, silence.
“Yuna? Yuna!” Taehyung’s voice rose with urgency, but the line had gone dead.
Jungkook’s face hardened, and without another word, he grabbed his jacket and motioned to Taehyung, Taehyun, and Beomgyu to follow. They sprinted to the car, hearts pounding with worry for Yuna’s safety.
As they drove at breakneck speed towards the agency building, the silence was tense, filled only with the hum of the engine and the rapid beating of their hearts. Jungkook’s knuckles whitened as he gripped the steering wheel, pushing the car faster.
“Do you think she’s…?” Beomgyu started, his voice wavering.
“She’ll be okay,” Taehyung replied, as much to reassure himself as the others. “We’ll make sure of it.”
Just then, Taehyung’s phone buzzed. It was Yuna again.
“Yuna! Are you okay? Where are you?” Taehyung asked urgently, putting the phone on speaker so everyone could hear.
“I’m… I’m near the backside gate of the agency,” Yuna panted, her voice breaking. “They’re close. I don’t know how long I can—”
“We’re almost there,” Jungkook reassured her, pushing the accelerator. “Just hold on a little longer.”
As they reached the agency building, Jungkook swung the car towards the back entrance. Through the darkness, they spotted Yuna. She was limping, her face bruised and scratched, her steps faltering. Several men in black suits were closing in on her, their expressions ruthless.
Without hesitating, Beomgyu and Taehyun leapt out of the car and ran toward the men, intercepting them with swift punches and defensive maneuvers. The men tried to push forward, but Beomgyu and Taehyun blocked them, determination hardening their faces.
Jungkook rushed toward Yuna, scooping her up gently. “Yuna, we’ve got you,” he whispered, his voice steady, trying to reassure her even as his heart hammered with anger.
Taehyung opened the car door, helping Jungkook lift Yuna inside. He took off his coat and wrapped it around her shivering frame. “You’re safe now,” he whispered, his voice filled with relief. “We’ve got you.”
Meanwhile, Jungkook ran back to assist Beomgyu and Taehyun. The three of them engaged the men, exchanging punches, their movements swift and precise. Jungkook’s expression was fierce, his anger boiling over as he fought to protect his team and the brave girl they had risked everything for.
One of the men lunged at Jungkook, swinging a fist aimed at his face. Jungkook dodged, delivering a sharp punch to the man’s jaw, sending him staggering backward. “This is for Jiha. And for Yuna,” he muttered, voice low and deadly.
Seeing their efforts were futile, the men began to retreat, slipping back into the shadows. Jungkook, Taehyun, and Beomgyu took a moment to catch their breath, exchanging nods of determination.
“Let’s go,” Jungkook said firmly, guiding them back to the car. With everyone inside, he floored the gas, leaving the agency building—and the nightmare they’d narrowly escaped—behind.
Back at the office, Jin had already arranged for a doctor, who was waiting when they arrived. He took one look at Yuna’s bruises and immediately began treating her wounds.
Yuna winced as the doctor gently dabbed antiseptic on her cuts, but she kept her gaze fixed on Jungkook and Taehyung, her expression a mixture of gratitude and guilt.
“I’m… I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Taehyung knelt beside her, his expression gentle. “Sorry? Yuna, you risked everything to tell the truth. We’re the ones who are sorry for not being there sooner.”
Yuna’s eyes filled with tears. “I was so scared… but I kept thinking about Jiha. She fought so hard, and I knew I couldn’t let her down.”
Jungkook’s expression softened, but there was a spark of determination in his eyes. “Yuna, your bravery… it’s everything we need to bring them down. Not just for Jiha, but for everyone else they’ve hurt. We’re going to make sure they pay.”
Yuna nodded, her gaze fierce through her tears. “They can’t keep doing this. Not anymore.”
As the doctor finished wrapping Yuna’s injuries, the team gathered around her, a collective resolve filling the room. They knew the risks had escalated, that they were up against a powerful force willing to go to any lengths to silence them. But they also knew that they couldn’t turn back.
Jungkook’s gaze moved across his team, from Taehyung to Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Jin. They were all bruised and weary, yet their spirits were unbreakable.
“This isn’t just for Jiha now,” Jungkook said, his voice steady and filled with resolve. “It’s for every person who’s been hurt, silenced, or threatened. We’re going to bring them down. We’re going to get justice.”
Taehyung placed a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder, nodding with a small, determined smile. “We’ll do it together.”
In that moment, despite the exhaustion and fear, a powerful unity bound them. They knew that this fight was bigger than themselves, bigger than the risks. They were standing for something right, something worth every bruise, every threat, and every fear.
With renewed determination, they returned to their desks, preparing for the final battle that lay ahead. The darkness surrounding them was thick, but their hope—and their resolve—shone brighter than ever.
