As Jungkook and Taehyung emerged from the courtroom, the midday sun hung high in the sky, casting long shadows across the empty corridor. The usual hustle and bustle of court proceedings had diminished, leaving a silence that was almost deafening. Taehyung turned to Jungkook, ready to discuss their next steps when a familiar figure stepped into their path.

Park Wonrae, the CEO of Ray Agency, stood before them, a sinister smile plastered on his face. The very sight of him sent a chill down Jungkook’s spine. Dressed impeccably in a tailored suit that screamed wealth and power, he exuded an air of arrogance that was hard to ignore.

“Ah, the dynamic duo,” Park said, his tone dripping with mockery. “I was hoping to catch you both here. How’s the case going? I hear it’s quite the spectacle.”

Jungkook clenched his fists, feeling a rush of anger surge through him. “What do you want, Park?”

Park stepped closer, his smile widening. “Just wanted to give you a friendly warning. You’re treading on thin ice. Leave this case be, or you might find yourself in a precarious position.”

Taehyung’s jaw tightened as he stood protectively next to Jungkook. “You think we’ll just walk away because you say so?”

“Think of it as a suggestion,” Park replied smoothly, his gaze flickering over Taehyung and Jisoo, who had just joined them. “You know, with your looks, you both could easily become idols. Ever considered it? I could make it happen.”

Jungkook’s blood boiled at the way Park’s eyes lingered on Taehyung and Jisoo, a possessive glare that made Jungkook’s skin crawl. “You’re crossing a line,” Jungkook growled, fists tightening as he fought the urge to lash out.

Taehyung, sensing Jungkook’s rising fury, placed a calming hand on his boyfriend’s arm. “Jungkook, wait. Look.” He nodded toward the corners of the corridor, where hidden cameras were strategically placed, recording their every word. “We can’t let him get what he wants. He’s trying to provoke us.”

Park chuckled, the sound laced with malice. “Smart boy. But you see, this isn’t over. I won’t let any of you get away that easily.”

With that, he turned on his heel, storming off down the hallway, leaving a tense silence in his wake. Jungkook could feel the weight of his anger simmering beneath the surface.

Once back at the office, the mood was heavy. Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin were already gathered, their expressions serious as they awaited an update.

“Did something happen?” Jin asked, his brow furrowed as he noticed the tension.

Jungkook wasted no time in recounting their encounter with Park. “He threatened us. He said if we don’t drop the case, we’ll face consequences.”

“Consequences?” Namjoon echoed, his voice low. “What kind of consequences?”

“He was… unnervingly confident,” Taehyung admitted. “He thinks he has power over us. But we can’t back down. Not now.”

Jungkook shook his head vehemently. “We need to consider changing the case, at least for Taehyung’s team. I won’t let anyone put you in danger.”

Taehyung’s eyes narrowed. “What do you mean, ‘put us in danger’? We’re not weak. We can handle this.”

“You’re underestimating how ruthless he is,” Jungkook shot back, frustration lacing his voice. “He’s a business magnate who doesn’t care about us or anyone else. He’ll do whatever it takes.”

Jisoo chimed in, her tone firm. “We’re not backing down either, Jungkook. We’re in this together. We all are. We’ve come too far to let him intimidate us.”

“So you’re all just willing to put yourselves in harm’s way?” Jungkook said, incredulous. “What if something happens to you? What if he decides to retaliate?”

Taehyung stepped forward, his voice steady. “This isn’t just about us anymore, Jungkook. It’s about Jiha. We owe it to her to see this through.”

Jungkook’s heart ached at the thought, but he couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that hung in the air. “And what if it costs us everything?”

“Then we fight,” Taehyung replied, determination burning in his eyes. “Together.”

Silence enveloped the room as their team considered Taehyung’s words. Jimin and Yoongi exchanged glances, weighing their options. The stakes were higher than ever, and the threat of Park Wonrae loomed large.

“Let’s not jump to conclusions,” Namjoon said, attempting to diffuse the tension. “We need a plan. We can’t let fear control our actions.”

“Agreed,” Jin added, glancing around the room. “But we also need to be vigilant. Park Wonrae isn’t just any opponent. He has resources at his disposal.”

“I want us to start a thorough investigation into Ray Agency,” Jungkook said, his voice steady. “We need to find something—anything—that can expose him.”

“Count me in,” Beomgyu said, nodding. “We’ll dig deeper.”

Taehyung placed a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder, a gesture of solidarity. “We’ll figure this out, Jungkook. I promise.”

As the meeting continued, Jungkook’s heart raced with a mixture of fear and determination. They were in for a fight, and he would protect those he cared about at all costs. The storm was brewing, and as the team prepared to face the challenges ahead, they knew one thing for certain: they would not back down.
