Jungkook sat at his desk, his brows furrowed as he poured over the thick stack of documents in front of him. The weight of this case had been heavy on his shoulders for weeks now. It was one of the biggest cases of his career—fraud and embezzlement on a massive scale, involving a high-profile conglomerate. Jungkook was leading the prosecution, and the stakes were sky-high.
His team, made up of Soobin, his junior attorney; Mingyu, his dedicated legal secretary; and Taehyun, the paralegal who never seemed to sleep, had been working around the clock with him. It was Monday, and the final trial was set for Friday. Five days. Five long, exhausting days to ensure their victory.
The office was buzzing with activity as Soobin combed through more legal precedents to prepare for Jungkook’s closing arguments, and Mingyu meticulously organized the files that would be presented in court. Taehyun was running between their workspace and the library, gathering additional documents they might need to counter the defense's potential last-minute tactics.
Jungkook rubbed his temples, feeling the tension building in his head. He couldn't afford to miss a single detail. The defense had a powerful team, and every move had to be perfect if they wanted to win this. He heard Soobin sigh from across the room, flipping through another stack of papers.
"Hyung, I found a similar case from two years ago. It could help with your argument on fiduciary duty breach," Soobin said, holding up a document.
Jungkook nodded, appreciating his junior's thoroughness. "Good. Let's add that to the reference section for Friday's trial."
Taehyun returned, placing a few more files on Jungkook's desk. "These should cover any counterarguments the defense might throw in about misrepresentation. The case against them is strong, but they’ll likely push back hard in the final moments."
Jungkook leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath. His mind raced with all the possibilities. He trusted his team, but the pressure was immense.
Back at home, Taehyung had been watching Jungkook work himself to the bone. Every night, he’d see Jungkook come home looking more exhausted than the day before. Taehyung knew this case was critical, and while he didn't want to disturb Jungkook, he did his best to support him in small ways. Whether it was preparing meals, reminding Jungkook to take short breaks, or simply bringing him coffee when he needed it, Taehyung was there, quietly but constantly by his side.
Thursday night rolled around, and the tension in the apartment was palpable. The trial was the next morning, and Jungkook seemed unusually quiet at dinner. Taehyung noticed the way Jungkook's shoulders sagged, how his usual confidence was missing.
Later that night, as they lay in bed, Jungkook stared at the ceiling, his thoughts racing. Taehyung rolled over to face him, his fingers lightly tracing patterns on Jungkook's arm.
"You’re thinking too much, aren’t you?" Taehyung said softly, his voice laced with concern.
Jungkook sighed. "It’s hard not to. The defense is strong. I know we’ve prepared well, but... there’s still this feeling that something could go wrong."
Taehyung scooted closer, placing a hand on Jungkook's chest. "You’ve got this. You’re the best lawyer I know, and your team is amazing. You’ve worked so hard on this."
Jungkook didn’t reply, his thoughts still clouded with doubt.
Taehyung frowned slightly and then, with a glint in his eye, he said, "You know… if you win this case, I’ll have a special reward for you."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, glancing down at Taehyung. "A reward, huh?"
Taehyung nodded, his lips curving into a mischievous smile. "Yep. Something to help you relax after all this stress. But you have to win first."
That caught Jungkook’s attention. He chuckled, feeling a surge of energy at Taehyung’s playful challenge. "Is that so? Well, now I really have to win."
Taehyung leaned up, planting a soft kiss on Jungkook’s lips. "You can do it. I believe in you."

Friday morning arrived, and the courtroom was packed. Reporters lined the entrance, eagerly awaiting the outcome of what had become one of the most publicized trials of the year. The defense team sat with an air of confidence, but Jungkook remained calm, the words of Taehyung from the night before giving him an extra boost of determination.
As the trial began, Jungkook presented his case with precision and skill, laying out the facts with unshakeable confidence. His closing arguments were sharp and impactful, drawing attention to the clear evidence of fraud and corruption.
Soobin, Mingyu, and Taehyun watched in admiration as Jungkook deftly handled the cross-examinations and dismantled the defense's attempts to poke holes in their case. It was a battle of wits, but Jungkook held his ground, never faltering.
When the judge finally delivered the verdict—guilty—there was a collective sigh of relief from Jungkook's side of the courtroom. They had won. The tension that had gripped them for weeks suddenly lifted, replaced with a flood of relief and triumph.
As soon as they exited the courtroom, Soobin high-fived Taehyun while Mingyu clapped Jungkook on the back. "We did it, Hyung!" Soobin cheered.
Jungkook gave a tired but satisfied smile. "We did. Now let’s go home."

That evening, Jungkook returned home to find Taehyung waiting for him with a soft smile. “How did it go?” Taehyung asked, even though he already knew the answer.
“We won,” Jungkook said simply, his voice full of quiet pride.
Taehyung’s face lit up, and he quickly pulled Jungkook into a hug. “I knew you would.”
Jungkook exhaled, letting the weight of the case finally slip away as he held Taehyung close. He felt tired, but a good kind of tired—the kind that comes after hard work pays off.
Taehyung led Jungkook to the living room, where the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. “Come on, sit down. I promised you a reward, didn’t I?”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on his lips. “You did.”
Taehyung guided him to sit on the couch and slid in behind him, gently massaging Jungkook’s scalp with his skilled hands. “How does that feel?” Taehyung asked softly.
Jungkook closed his eyes, feeling the stress melting away. “Perfect,” he murmured.
Taehyung continued to work his fingers through Jungkook’s hair, easing the tension from his head and shoulders. As Jungkook started to fully relax, Taehyung leaned forward, whispering in his ear, “There’s more.”
Before Jungkook could respond, Taehyung slid down onto the floor between Jungkook’s legs, his hands trailing along his thighs. He looked up at Jungkook, his eyes full of warmth and mischief. Slowly, he unbuttoned Jungkook’s pants, making it clear what his reward would be.
Jungkook’s breath hitched as Taehyung took him into his mouth, the feeling overwhelming after all the stress of the past few weeks. His hand gripped the couch as Taehyung’s expert movements quickly brought him to the edge. The combination of the head massage, the quiet music in the background, and the warmth of Taehyung’s touch made everything else disappear. All that mattered in that moment was them, together.
Jungkook groaned, his hand tangling in Taehyung’s hair as he found his release, all the tension finally draining from his body. Taehyung looked up at him, his lips curved into a satisfied smile as he wiped his mouth.
“You always know how to take care of me,” Jungkook said breathlessly, pulling Taehyung up into his lap. He kissed him softly, his heart full of gratitude and love.
Taehyung nuzzled into his neck. “I told you, I’m your reward.”
Jungkook chuckled, holding him close. “You’re the best reward I could ever ask for.”
