Beomgyu and Taehyun stood in the doorway, staring at the scene that greeted them in Taehyung’s office. Jungkook and Taehyung, still frozen in their intimate position, looked like characters in a romantic movie—Jungkook’s arms around Taehyung’s waist, Taehyung’s wide eyes fixed on Jungkook’s as if the world had momentarily stopped.

“Well… are you two going to keep staring at each other or take us out for lunch?” Beomgyu broke the silence with a teasing smirk, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

Taehyung immediately jumped off Jungkook’s lap, straightening his shirt, flustered. Jungkook cleared his throat, trying to regain his usual cool demeanor, but his heartbeat betrayed him.

“Yeah, lunch… let’s go,” Taehyung muttered, avoiding Jungkook’s eyes as he grabbed his bag.

Jungkook smirked as he grabbed his car keys. “We’ll take my car,” he said, glancing at Taehyung with a glint in his eye.

As they all walked out of the office, Taehyung’s mind raced. He couldn’t stop replaying the moment when he’d fallen into Jungkook’s lap, the way Jungkook’s strong hands had held him steady, the undeniable spark that had shot through him when their eyes locked.

Jungkook, on the other hand, was finding it hard to stop smiling. He had never seen Taehyung so flustered, and something about it thrilled him. This wasn’t just playful teasing anymore—it felt like the start of something dangerous. And he loved every second of it.

As they piled into Jungkook’s sleek black car, Taehyung took the passenger seat next to him while Beomgyu and Taehyun squeezed into the back, still giggling softly.

The silence between Jungkook and Taehyung was thick, but it didn’t last long. As Jungkook drove, Taehyung glanced at him from the corner of his eye, watching how Jungkook’s hands gripped the steering wheel—strong, veiny hands that had just moments ago been wrapped around his waist.

“Comfortable?” Jungkook asked with a smirk, not taking his eyes off the road, but clearly sensing Taehyung’s gaze.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow. “I’m always comfortable,” he said, leaning back in his seat. “But I don’t know about you. You seemed a little too comfortable back there in the office.”

Jungkook chuckled, giving him a sideways glance. “Comfortable? I was just doing my job—catching you before you embarrassed yourself.”

“Oh, please,” Taehyung scoffed, crossing his arms. “If I remember correctly, you were holding on a little too tightly. Didn’t want to let go, huh?”

Jungkook’s grin widened. “I didn’t realize you were keeping track.”

Taehyung felt a warmth creep up his neck but refused to back down. “Maybe I was. Maybe I just wanted to see how long you could resist.”

“Resist what?” Jungkook asked, his voice lowering slightly, teasing, daring.

Taehyung turned his head fully towards him, eyes sparkling with challenge. “Resist me.”

There it was again—the unspoken tension that hovered between them, thick and undeniable. In the backseat, Beomgyu and Taehyun exchanged amused glances, clearly entertained by the back-and-forth.

“Should we leave you two alone?” Beomgyu chimed in, unable to keep quiet anymore.

“No,” Taehyung and Jungkook said in unison, their voices overlapping. They shot each other a quick glance before looking away, embarrassed by how in sync they were.

“Sure, sure,” Taehyun teased. “You both sound very convincing.”

Jungkook just rolled his eyes and focused on the road, but a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Taehyung crossed his arms, trying to ignore the fluttering in his chest.

The restaurant Jungkook had chosen was small and cozy, tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. As they entered, the warm glow of the afternoon sun bathed the room in a soft light. They chose a booth near the window, Jungkook and Taehyung sitting across from each other, while Beomgyu and Taehyun slid in on either side.

The waiter took their orders, and as soon as he left, the teasing resumed.

“So,” Beomgyu began, resting his chin in his hands, looking between Jungkook and Taehyung, “are you two going to keep this up all day, or should we expect more ‘accidents’ like the one in the office?”

Taehyung narrowed his eyes at Beomgyu, but Jungkook beat him to the punch. “Depends,” Jungkook said with a mischievous smile. “Do you want more accidents, Taehyung?”

Taehyung leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. “Maybe,” he said softly, his voice dropping to a sultry tone. “But only if you can handle it.”

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “Oh, I can handle it. The question is, can you?”

Taehyung smiled, leaning back again, his fingers playing with the edge of the table. “You seem pretty confident, Jungkook. But confidence won’t save you from what’s coming.”

Jungkook tilted his head, intrigued. “And what’s coming?”

“Let’s just say,” Taehyung’s voice was light but dangerous, “you might be the one suffering by the end of this.”

The tension between them was so thick that even Beomgyu and Taehyun felt it. They both glanced at each other, trying not to laugh too loudly at how obvious the chemistry was.

“I’d pay to watch this unfold,” Taehyun muttered, shaking his head with a grin.

Beomgyu nodded enthusiastically. “Same. This is better than any drama on TV.”

As their food arrived, Jungkook leaned over the table slightly, locking eyes with Taehyung. “If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were trying to distract me.”

Taehyung picked up his fork, smiling innocently. “Distract you? From what?”

“From the fact that you’re the one who’s flustered,” Jungkook said smoothly, cutting into his food without breaking eye contact.

Taehyung paused, his fork halfway to his mouth. He swallowed, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks again, but he refused to give Jungkook the satisfaction of seeing him squirm.

“You think I’m flustered?” Taehyung said, raising an eyebrow. “You’re mistaken, Jeon.”

“Oh, I don’t think I’m mistaken,” Jungkook replied, his voice dropping an octave, eyes still burning into Taehyung’s. “I can see it.”

Taehyung laughed, shaking his head. “Believe whatever you want, Jungkook. Just remember—you’re not the only one who can play this game.”

Beomgyu coughed into his hand to hide his laugh, and Taehyun simply shook his head, enjoying every moment of the exchange.

After they finished their meal, the group headed back to Jungkook’s car, but the playful tension between Jungkook and Taehyung didn’t waver. As they slid into their seats, Taehyung, now feeling bold, shot Jungkook a sideways glance.

“So,” Taehyung began, fastening his seatbelt, “was lunch satisfying for you, or are you still hungry for something else?”

Jungkook turned his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. “Depends. What else are you offering?”

Taehyung bit his lip, enjoying how Jungkook’s playful confidence never seemed to waver. “Guess you’ll have to wait and see.”

Jungkook’s lips curled into a smirk as he started the engine. “Oh, I don’t mind waiting. Anticipation makes the reward that much sweeter.”

In the backseat, Beomgyu groaned dramatically, leaning his head against Taehyun’s shoulder. “How are we supposed to keep up with this?”

Taehyun chuckled, shaking his head. “We don’t. We just sit back and enjoy the show.”

As Jungkook drove back towards the office, the unspoken words and stolen glances between him and Taehyung left them both buzzing with energy. The teasing, the tension, the push and pull—it was all part of the game they had started. Neither knew exactly where it would lead, but one thing was certain: neither of them planned to back down anytime soon.
