If you've ever heard the sound of your own heartbeat drowning out any and all noise around you, then you would know exactly what Siobhan was feeling at that moment. Vivian's scream felt like it broke the sound barrier- but Siobhan couldn't move. She had to move- WHY COULDN'T SHE MOVE!? She managed to pull her phone from her pocket, sending only one message before forcing her feet to move:

S.O.S!

Horror is a sight most people don't see in their lives. Sure, you may see a gory movie- or a car accident on the side of the road. But you very rarely come across a true horror in one's lifetime. But what Siobhan saw as she entered Roger's study was that of nightmares. Roger was drunk, plastered beyond recognition. He was stumbling around as he held his arms around Vivian's throat- and that's when Siobhan saw it. Roger pointed a gun at Vivian's head. The look in Roger's eyes was one Siobhan had never seen- there was craze behind the blankness of them.

"Roger- don't. Don't do this." Siobhan kept her distance, holding her hand up towards him. "You don't have to do this." Roger laughed, pushing the gun further into Vivian's temple.

"You're so blind. I failed, don't you see that? You have this faggot stashed away IN OUR HOME!! That alone means I have to do this." Vivian winced, trying hard to not show her fear any more than necessary.

"Siobhan." She whimpered out. "Bon-Bon look at me." Siobhan pried her eyes off Roger, tears streaming down her face as her eyes locked onto Vivian's. "I-... I forgive you. Okay?" Vivian tried to smile, the only thing she could see was Siobhan. If this was how she had to go out, at least she saw her one last time.

"Don't. Don't do that. You're getting out of here. We are getting out of here. You have a son!" Siobhan's eyes darted between Roger and Vivian with intense panic. She was afraid to look away for fear that Roger would snap and it would all end right in front of her eyes.

"Bon-Bon I don't think I will..." Vivian bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. "But you need to know this. You need to know one thing if I never make it out of here."

"Shut up, bitch!" Roger tightened his grip around her neck, pulling her closer to him. Vivian clawed at his arm, desperate for the air he had stolen from her.

"Roger! Roger stop! You want me. Take. Me." Siobhan screamed. Roger pointed his gun towards Siobhan for a moment. She stumbled backwards into the wall in fear.

"You are worth nothing to me. You'll keep running off, finding whore after whore." He turned the gun back to Vivian, dragging the end of it under her chin slowly. "This is just community service." Roger spat out.

"B-Bon-...Bon." Vivian choked on her words. "I-I love...you." Roger slammed the gun back into Vivian's temple.

"YOU DON'T LOVE HER!" He shouted. Siobhan covered her mouth to trap the sobs in. She couldn't stop him, but she had to try.

"Roger. Let her go. She has a son. Think about your son!" Siobhan tried to regain Roger's attention. He knew what she meant- and that was enough. His eyes locked onto Siobhan's, pointing the gun towards her slowly.

"You. You don't speak about my son. He is mine." Vivian was confused, Roger had never loved Reece- he barely even tolerated him. But whatever she was doing was working. Vivian could feel air circulating her lungs again.

"You can have him. You can have him, Roger. But you have to let her go. You have to." Siobhan felt bile rising in her throat. She had just signed away her child, her baby. She felt like the world's worst mother, but just as she had said the words, Roger snapped the gun in her direction.
