October 31st...
"Do you think that it's ridiculous to take a one month old trick or treating?" Marjorie asked as she slid Grace's legs into her black cat onesie. Siobhan rested her head in her hands with a grin.
"Not when she's so damn cute." She poked at her nose. "Plus, you're not taking her trick or treating, you're going along with all of us to take our kids trick or treating." Siobhan sat back, looking out the door to check on how much progress Vivian had made trying to get Jamie into his costume.
"Our children.." Autumn's voice came from the doorway with a small smirk."Did you ever think those words would leave your lips?" Siobhan blew out a deep breath, letting her lips vibrate together as she did. If she were honest, no. She had never thought of herself as ever being a mother. The thought of settling down with someone long enough to create a family had scared her her whole life, but as she watched Vivian fasten the braces on Jamie's train costume- she knew that she would never be able to step one foot away from them.
"It feels so... surreal." Siobhan leaned forward to snap the button at the top of Grace's onesie that Marjorie had missed. "I have a son... a fiance.. I have a family."
"You're alive." Marjorie continued. Siobhan inhaled a sharp breath, realizing the weight that came behind that sentence. In the last six months, she had been through absolute hell- she shouldn't have been alive. The war that she fought within herself was still raging, however- it was being drowned out by the support of the people around them. For every fearful thought she had about her future, Vivian kissed her soul with her affirmations, reminding her that she was perfect the way she was. When she was convinced she was failing as a mother, her friends would step in and remind her that not every day would be the same. An 'I hate you' from Jamie hardly meant a thing when an hour later he was hugging her knees. Autumn reminded her daily that she was the only reason she was the mother she was, and Siobhan felt like the weight of the world was lifted by just one smile from the redhead.
"I'm alive..." Siobhan repeated softly.
"You're gonna wish you were dead after this child gets his pillowcase full of candy." Vivian tossed the pillow case over Siobhan's head. Siobhan narrowed her eyes as she dragged the fabric down her face.
"He's a child. What about that would make me want to die ?" Marjorie snorted.
"Children become angry little hyperglycemic werewolves once they fly off that three day sugar bender. That detox off the red dye 40 is oooof." Marjorie picked Grace up with a smirk. "It's brutal."
"Wait, that's a thing!?"

Charlotte and Mia had already begun trick or treating when the group had caught up with them. The girls were running circles around Mia as they shoved pieces of chocolate into their mouths. Siobhan squeezed Vivian's hand, watching Jamie run up to join Lilly and Mariah.
"You two look exhausted." Mia shot a glare in Siobhan's direction.
"Mariah wanted to get dressed at 10 am. I was able to hold her off till 12:02 before she started trying to apply her fangs herself. Do you know what happens when an 8 year old tries to glue a fang to her tooth? IN HER MOUTH!?" Vivan bit her lip to stifle her laughter. Mia was not having it.
"I'm guessing a disaster of epic proportions."
"You're guessing correctly. I had to keep her from talking while I found a way to dissolve the glue."
"It was kind of a hilarious sight." Charlotte mumbled behind her hand. Mia redirected her glare to her fiance.
"Oh right, I forgot. Her mother let me fend for myself while she laughed so hard she nearly wet herself!" Charlotte danced around cutely with an embarrassed smile on her face.
"It wasn't my fault Mariah was trying to tell you something but your fingers were glued to her tooth!" Charlotte began to laugh again before her eyes landed on Autumn. "Ohhh what is Grace dressed as!" Charlotte made her way over to Autumn and Marjorie, leaving Mia with Siobhan and Vivian.
"So..." Mia stepped forward, her signature evil smirk attached to her lips. "Are you ever going to tell them about Bradley?" Siobhan shifted uncomfortably, pulling her jacket around her tighter.
"I'd prefer not to. If I'm honest, I'm not sure it would do any good. Bradley is after money, and if my paying him works then-"
"Eventually he's going to want more, Siobhan." Mia cut her off. "What will you do then?"
