(Remember that time that I asked y'all if you were ready for the 'perspective' of the rat? Well... We're here. And I am sickened by my own writing. Don't hate me. I can't even lie the next like.. 3-6 chapters are so hard to write and read... BUT MY STORIES ALWAYS END HAPPY! So just stick with me! Without further ado... The Rat.)

She had dared to cross him, again. Roger detested when Siobhan got the nerve to fight him, she was his property and property shouldn't fight back. Maybe a drink would numb the anger, even if it made it worse- he would be too drunk to feel it anyway. Roger threw open the door to his study, not bothering to stop the impact as it slammed against the wall with the strength of his push. He purposefully stomped across the floor, knowing Siobhan likely hadn't moved from her spot he'd left her on the couch. The thought of her still being completely numb thrilled the man in a way he constantly craved. Control was Roger's drug, and he needed dosed again. If she was still in the same position- he wouldn't even have to try to keep her still.

Perfect. Roger thought as he tossed his whiskey glass to the side and began making his way to the door. But just as he had removed his belt again at the top of the stairs- he heard the front door slam. She had left, without telling him and without his permission. She had denied him the one thing she owed him, and that was not going to fly. Not now, not ever.

He stood still for a moment, listening for any sign of what Siobhan had intended to do. It didn't take long for him to hear her car roll over and squeal down the street. It should have excited him that she was trying so hard to get away from him, but this time it simply made him angrier. Roger clenched his fists in frustration as he made his way down the stairs to follow Siobhan. He was going to find out where she was going, who she was going to see and as soon as he was done reminding her who's she was- he was going to bring her home and keep reminding her. The living room was silent, but the silence had a sound- Roger didn't do well in silence. He gripped his head with his hands as he angrily shouted out;

"SHUT UP!" The silence continued to stay as it was, but the nothingness grated at Roger's brain causing him to shift uncomfortably. He reached for his keys and quickly exited out his door into the evening breeze of the sunny day. As he reached for his door handle- his phone rang.

Roger had a system in his phone, a way to tell his business dealings from his business dealings. Every associate Roger dealt with would come through his phone as "Unknown Number." But the period had significance. He would scatter it throughout the name, anywhere between letters, between the words, before or after. Never once had he been questioned on it, and he intended to make sure it stayed that way. This specific version was titled: "Unkn.own Numbe.r"- the Police Station. It wasn't very often that Roger received word from there, so it must have been something that needed immediate attention. He didn't like that.

"Hello?" Roger kept his voice low, the phone pressed to his cheek firmly to dampen the already softened voice on the other end.

"Your daughter. She's been in an accident." The voice spoke out quickly and low. Roger let out a breath through his nose.

"I think you misunderstand how I feel about my children." Roger's words were monotone, no emotion to be found after hearing of Autumn's unfortunate accident.

"That isn't why I am calling." Roger's eyebrow raised. If it wasn't about Autumn, why include her?

"Then get to the point, I don't have all day." Roger scanned his surroundings as he waited for the response to come from the end of the line. Something about this was suspicious, and he wouldn't be blind and dumb to whatever it was.

"Your failed wannabe son in law was the driver."

"He was with Mutton Chops?" The idea piqued Roger's interest. Winter and Autumn had broken up months prior.
