Jinxs POV
I wasn't going down without a fight. That much I knew for sure. I'm Jenevieve "Jinx" Pierce, leader of the most powerfully team in all of Xander, one of the top students that ever went to XMA (Xander's Milatary Academy). I wasn't going down, not yet.
I blocked Ragnarok's blow as it came at me. I was down to just my speed, agality and my fists. I was good, but Ragnarok was also good. So it was a win or die situation.
I threw my leg at his gut, hoping for him to double over. Luckly, he did, and I drove my arm down onto his back. I smirked, Perfect, I thought, just what I wanted. As I was about to deliver the final blow. I felt the ground shake. I looked around nervously to see if I could find the reason, when I heared Ragnarok laugh.
I looked down at him confused and then it clicked.
"Damn it..." I said as I took off running to the door, I really didn't care about Ragnarok anymore. So I ran, ignoring the painful throbing in my gut. "Shit, shit, shit!!" I yelled as I ran as fast as I could. But, Corrigan decided it would be a good time to jump out of nowhere!!
"What the hell Jinx?!" she yelled at my. "Where the hell are you going? Ragnarok--"
"I don't care about Ragnarok right know!" I yelled right back. I looked behind her to see every fricking one. "Why the hell are all of you here!?"
"Because--" Quill was about to answer, but then a deep rumble shook the whole place.
"You know what," I said looking around, "I don't give a shit, lets get out of here!" And I took off running agian, everyone following. But as I neared the door, about ten of the weird colourful alien-things came out of nowhere. "Oh really!" I yelled at no one. "Good grief, you guys are everywhere!" And then I grabbed a large pipe that was lying around and swung at the nearest one. I slowly made my way towards the door, gunshots firing behind me as the others kept their ground.
Finally, I made it to the door. "Come on!" I yelled to the others. I held the door open for all of them, fighting off the new aliens that were aproching. As Rocket, being the last to go through the door, left. I quickly closed the door and used the pipe to keep it that way. I turned around to look at the others.
"Well?" I asked them. "What are you waiting for? An alien to kick your sorry asses off the ship? GO!" As I yelled the last part, all of them started running. I sighed loudly and ran after them. Then I noticed Rocket have trouble balancing his gun and running. I sighed again and picked him up.
"Hey!" he yelled in my ear as I ran. "Put me down!!"
"Sorry," I said, still running, "Can't have you being left behind."
"Damn it!"
"Shut up!"
"I can talk if I want to!"
"I said shut--"
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!" I heard Corrigan yell from up front. "DON'T MAKE ME COME BACK THERE!"
That made us shut up. Corrigan wasn't called the Blue Skinned Demon for nothing. Finally we made it to the ship, which Tawny had parked beside Ragnarok's ship. I put Rocket down and he ran inside. I looked after his retreating figure and sighed.
"Hey Jinx?!" Quill shouted. "You comin'?!"
My gazed then landed on the people that I have grown to actually like and smiled, "Yea, coming."
I ran onto the ship, but was stopped by a hand holding on to my wrist. I turned my head to look at the person that belonged to the hand.
"Ragnarok," I said in a hushed tone.
"Missed me?" he smirked and then began to pull me off the ship.
"Hey!" I yelled, trying and failing to take my wrist out of his hand. "Let me go, asshole!"
"Jinx?!" Corrigan yelled. I stopped struggling for a second to look up at her. She looked scared, something that wasn't usually present on her face. Drax, who was standing beside her, held her back as she started to move forward. "Let go of me!" she yelled at him, "I need to save her!"
"You can't," Drax said to her, "Tawny has already lifted off!" And ture to his word, I felt the whole ship shift as it was taking off. And as some of you know, when a ship's taking off, the ramp has to go up...
yea...
I hate ships...
"Jinx, come on!" Corrigan called desperately. "I can't lose you agian..."
Corrigan has always been like a really over-protective-mother-sister to Tawny and I. Ever since our academy days she has always had our backs when we needed her, or when we needed help with a project, or even just a hug. Corrigan was there, helping out, making sure we were alright. She's my best friend, next to Tawny that is. And that's what gave me strength...that doesn't sound cliché...right?
I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts. And then I kicked Ragnarok in the chest to get him to let go, and he did. And so I ran up the incline plain to my friends. But, becasue you can't ever, ever, get out of something (especially for me) that easy. So, as I was to close to the door of the ship, Ragnarok grabbed my ankle. And on the other end, Corrigan and Drax each grabbed a hand. I felt like a human rubber band that was being stretched over a to big a wrist or something.
"Let me go!" I screamed kicking my legs all of the place. But he wouldn't let go.
"Let her go bastered!" I heared someone yell, and then out of nowhere, a blast of gun was heared and felt the grip on my calf was cut off. I turned to look down at Ragnarok, only to see that...
He wasn't there. Then I was being lifted up by Corrigan and Drax, before the hatch closed. And in case you were wondering, this whole time, Tawny has been completely oblivious to the fact that I almost dead. For the second time that day. I was breathing heavly after Corrigan and Drax pulled me up. And it didn't help when Corrigan pulled me into a bone-smashing hug. I tried to laugh, but I couldn't. She pulled away, wiping tears from her eyes. That's when I laughed, and she smacked me.
"Shut up," she said, "you could've dead!"
"But I didn't!" I said cheerfully, and she smacked me agian.
"Yea, you didn't," and she smiled, then she stood up and offered me her hand. I grabbed it and got up.
"I'm, I'm going to go tell Tawny what just happened," Corrigan said, "give that goddamn tree a heart attact," and she walked away, with Drax following close behind.
"Your welcome by the way," a gruff voice said from beside me. I looked down to see Rocket leaning agaisnt his gun.
"Hi," I said, sounding like an idoit.
"Hey idoit," he said back, "you could've dead you know."
"I know," I smirked. "But luckly an amazing rodent shot the bad guy for me," I smirked down at him. "Thanks," and then I walked away, like the sassy badass I am. ;)
TIMESKIP
After Tawny had recovered from her 'heart attack', she put the ship on auto-pilot and I gathered everyone in the 'living-room'/ meeting room.
"Okay," I said, "first thing I'm going to say is, everyone did awesome today. And, I need to share something with all of you," I turned to the computer and pulged in the USB that I had upload Ragnarok's entire archives onto. I opened the file when it was done loading, and should it to everyone.
"We've been lied to."
