Chapter 5-Minor Difficulties

Gamora's POV

I walk into the cell to see the two woman on the floor. The first one I saw was the blue skined one Corrie? No...um Caterina?...No Corrigan? Yes thats it Corrigan.

"Corrigan?" I asked her shacking her shoulder "Corrigan Halcor? Wake up" her eyes then opened and she looked at me and jumped up.

"Stay away from me" she said in a silent British accent.

"I am not going to hurt you, I promise" I said to her "My name is Gamora, and Nova Corps sent my team and I to save you and your teammates" She looked at me with a skeptical look and said

"How do I know your telling the truth?" she asked, still keeping her distance from me.

"I-" but I was cut short by someone else

"Shes telling the truth, Corrigan" a voice said from the ground, Corrigan and I looked down to see the female Groot on the ground.

"How do you know?" Corrigan asked the plant-humaniod

"I just know" she said

"Ok" Corrigan said loosing her fighting stance and she helped her friend of the ground. "Are you alright?" Corrigan asked her friend.

"Yes I am fine" she said, and then she turned to me and asked "So, you are one of the famous Guardians of the Galaxy?"

"Yes and my names-" I started but was cut of agian by Peter.

"Gamora!" Peter said, running in but then stoped "Oh, sorry, I thought something happened, nevermind, hehe"

"Come on" I said to them "we'll get you of here" they looked at me and then followed us out.

"Finally" Rocket said sighing "I was about to leave with or without you"

"Sure you where Rocket" I said to him, rolling my eyes.

"Ok, thats it lets get out of here-" Peter started but he was cut of by the plant-humaniod

"We can't leave yet" she said with her smooth voice "we have to find Jinx"

"Who?" we all said together, very confused. Who the heck is Jinx? I thought to myself Oh wait, the 3rd person! Of course, that must be her nickname or something.

"Jinx is our friend and leader, but you might know her as Jenavieve Pierce" Corrigan said to us, rolling her eyes. Ha, I was right I thought.

"Oh" everyone but me said.

"But where could she be?" I asked, looking at the other team.

"Well" Corrigan said "They took her this morning-"

"Where?" Rocket asked, Why does he care? I thought confused

"I was getting to that" Corrigan said, glaring at Rocket "like I was saying they took her this morning, and whenever she comes back she's either, unconscious, barly breathing or has a couple of broken bones" and she looked at the plant "we think that they torture her"

"What?" I said "Thats terrible, but why don't they do something to you?"

"We don't know" the plant said, looking down.

"Well, we will get your comrade back" Drax said "that is what we do, we will help people"

"Thank you all" Corrigan said, smiling a little.

"Well lets get going already!" Rocket said "The sooner we save her, the sooner we leave" and then he turned around and started walking.

"How do you know it's that way?" Peter asked him.
