When Two Teams Collide (Completed)

Chapter 2-The Mission

It only took the guardians a day to get to Xander. And they decided that Gamora, Quill, Rocket and Drax would go while Groot stayed on the ship (because no one really wanted to carry a plant humanoid in a pot around). So Gamora, Quill, Rocket and Drax walked out and went strait to Nova Corps HQ. But it did take some time because everyone had heard that the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' were coming and they all had to come and see them for themselves.

"Can I have your autograph?"

"Star-Lord, Star-Lord"

"Gamora you're so pretty!"

And other stuff like that, it did stop finally when Rocket shot his gun in the air yelling "Alright that's enough, get out of our way!"

"Thanks Rocket" Quill said when they were a safe distance away, and the people of Xander went back to their ordinary days again.

"Yeah whatever, lets just get this over already" he said slinging his favorite gun over his shoulder

Time Skip

"Ah, hello guardians" The sergeant major said to them, shaking Quills hand "If you will come this way please"

He lead them to the control room and to the prime minister of Xander. She was currently signing some papers. When she was done she turned around and looked surprised to see them.

"Oh my" she said "I did not expect you to be here so soon"

"Yeah, well we travel fast" Rocket said to her smirking

"I see" she said turning around again "I suppose we should get to it then"

She started up the computer and did some stuff, like typing in all the passwords. Man this computer is heavily guarded Rocket thought.

"Why are we here" Gamora asked getting annoyed.

"Well you see Gamora" the prime minister said "I have a little job for all of you." and then she brought up a file that read on it 'Top Secret'. "This is a very top secret mission and I need you to complete it"

"Wait, wait, wait" Rocket said stepping forward "You want us" he said pointing to his teammates "To help you" pointing to her "Hahaha, good one hun"

"I kid you not, Rocket Raccoon" she said looking down at him, her face expressionless.

Rocket stopped laughing and looked at her with surprise, and so did the other guardians.

"Yes, Nova Corps needs your help" she said and she turned around again and was about to open it but stopped. "But I must know if you except"

"We do" the guardians said together.

They didn't see it, but the prime minister smiled a little. "Alright then" then she opened the folder. "We recently sent our Alpha team on a mission" she started "to an abandoned plant called Scayria" and she brought up a picture. Scaryia was a purple-blue plant with a almost foggy surface and it was far away from other planets. Very good for an HQ thought Rocket.

"We sent them there to check out an mysterious signal we were getting" she said "we sent them there two weeks ago, and they haven't returned, now-" but she was cut of by none other than Rocket himself.

"What, are you telling us that this is a rescue mission?" he asked

"Yes Rocket this is, as I was saying, we need-" but she was cut of again, but this time by Qull.

"Your telling us to go save people, that might actually be dead?!" he asked looking at her surprised and with annoyence.

''Yes I am, know can you please be quiet while I explain'' the prime minister was keeping her cool but you could tell that she was getting annoyed as well. Everyone kept quiet now and the prime minister continued ''We need your help with getting them back. You see, we need this team to help us when maybe you won't do what we ask and there also the best soldiers we have here.''

''We will save them'' Gamora said smiling a little at the prime minister.

''WHAT?!" Quill and Rocket stared her, but she just looked at them and stared back.

"We must help them" Gamora said and she turned to the prime minister and said "but first I would like to know who we are saving" Quill and Rocket just looked at her dumbfounded.

The prime minister smiled a bit and said "Of course, my pleasure" and she turned around and pulled up another couple files. "There are three people on this team" she brought up the first file. "First we have Corrigan Halcor" on the screen there was a woman, that looked around her late 20's or early 30's. She also had blue skin and a mohawk that was the same colour as her skin. "Corrigan is the strongest woman in the galaxy, maybe even the strongest person (you could hear someone scoff at this) She can lift about four times her weight, but she is also one of the nicest pepole I know." The prime minister than brought up the next person. "Next there is Tawny Treloar" on the screen stood a younger woman, maybe early 20's or whatever. She also was a plant humaniod like Groot! She was pretty tall (but not as tall as Groot was) and she was skinny and green and had lots of flowers growing on her.

"Wow, she looks like a female version of Groot" Quill said in amazed vocie, pointing at the screen.

"Yes mr. Quill she does" the prime minister said to him. "But don't be fooled by her look of inocence, Tawny Treloar is one of Nova Corps deadliest soldiers."

"And who is the thrid person" Drax asked.

"Oh yes, last but not least, we have our leader" the prime minister than brought up a woman with blonde hair and purple eyes, she looked around late 20's, like most of the guardians. "This is Jenavieve Pierce" The prime minister stated "She is the leader of our Alpha team and our best soldier." Jenaveive had very long blonde hair that in this picture, was pulled into a high ponytail and she was also a bit taller then most woman. "There you have it Guardians, Nova Corps Alpha team. So when will you leave?" the prime minister asked them.

"Today" Quill said to her and the prime minister smiled.

"Thank you all" she said.

"Hey, no prob" said Quill and than he turned to the other guardians "You guys ready?"

"Yes"

"Yes, I believe I am"

"Whatever, I have nothing better to do"

And they all turned and left. But little did they know, this was going to be their toughest battle yet...
