Chapter X

Leo sighed as he strolled down the hallway, trying to find a good place to settle with his group. He'd always been a good navigator, but he normally knew where he was going. Plus, he normally had a machine to guide him.

Turning the corner, he smiled as he heard the familiar churn of work. The electrical closet was perfect; he would be able to concentrate better when surrounded by machines.

The three other characters in the party trudged in. Haymitch hugged the last precious bottle of liqueur he could carry from his world. Haymitch Abernathy had never trusted James Potter. Of course, he rarely trusted anyone.

Gazzy plopped himself right on the one chair in the room, leaving the others to either sit on the floor or stand. He grinned as he ran his finger along the machines; this was where everything in the entire school was controlled.

Leo stayed optimistic, "So we're stuck in a foreign school with almost no hope of finding our friends. So what? We've got machines and each other. We could survive here!"

James sighed, "Nobody's going to survive here if we don't find a way back to our books."

Gazzy was obsessed with explosives. There was never anything that he did that didn't involve something being blown up. He didn't really understand the difference between a messenger and a terrorist, "We could blow up a section of the school! That'll get their attention!"

Haymitch snorted, "And the peacekeepers' attention!"

James growled, "Police."

"Whatever. The point is we need something that'll get their attention but not attract the 'police'."

Leo thought, "The only way I'd be of any help is if it has something to do with machines..."

Gazzy, "Explosives?"

James screamed, "NO EXPLOSIVES!"

Gazzy frowned and decided he was no longer needed, so began to play with the buttons on the machines.

Leo, "Did you notice any TVs around the school. Maybe they're controlled here. We could try to put some sort of secret message on them."

Haymitch, "That could work..."

Leo smiled, "Then it's settled. Gazzy, let me -"

The room when dark. Absolutely dark. The only thing still on were the emergency lights that lined the school.

Gazzy smirked, "My bad."

Chapter XI

Piper had been walking down the hall with her fellow "hostees" when the black-out happened.

Everything electrical in the school, except for the emergency lights, simultaneously shut off. Piper could hear students all across the school screaming in panic. She tried to calm her own instincts.

Cho Chang frowned, "This school hasn't had a power outage in three years..."

Polly chuckled, "Well, that outstanding record is now broken."

Nudge and Primrose Everdeen had screamed and hugged each other when the power went out. They slowly moved apart, embarrassed for their apparent weakness.

Piper thought for a moment. If the power hadn't gone out for so long, why did it now? She could tell this was no ordinary blackout. Suddenly, it hit her, "It's Leo! He's trying to communicate with us!"

Nudge snorted, "Or he's just clumsier than you thought."

Prim frowned, "The power going out isn't really the best way to tell someone something."

The group now turned down the 600 hallway. They were immediately met with hundreds of inspirational sticky notes. They hung on lockers, doors, and signs throughout the school, but nothing was more jaw-dropping than this hallway. Piper skipped down the hall. She'd never felt this much love in one place before.

The rest of the crowd followed, not wanting to be left behind. Somehow, none of them detected the reassuring strength that came to Piper, even without her "Aphrodite-ness". They drifted down the hall, reading sticky note after sticky note.

"Your hair looks nice.", "Keep moving forward.", "Life is lovely when there's something to love." The authors were poets writing their life lessons on little green notes throughout the hallway.

Suddenly, Piper stopped in front of a group of lockers. There were five, each with one sticky note on them. The sticky notes each had one letter. They had a different feeling compared to the rest.

Locker 6123: P

Locker 6124: I

Jason. It hit Piper like a rock. A message from her boyfriend. Jason was trying to find her.

She turned to the others who stood still with sudden interest, "Somebody get me a sticky note."

Chapter XII

Gaea smirked as she awoke from the nap of the transfer between worlds. Kronos laid next to her, still asleep and scrunched up, murmuring about death and revenge.

Gaea slowly rose from where she sat, surveying her surroundings. She was in a school; not very impressive, in fact. Her nose scrunched at the smell of the cafeteria food down the hall.

Kronos was gradually awakening. Soon at full strength, he stood with his mother and surveyed their unusual battlefield.

"Are they here, mother?" Kronos asked softly, as if afraid of the answer that may follow.

Gaea smiled, "Yes, my son. The children and goddesses are here. Soon the world will be ours for the taking."

Mother and son turned the corner. Kronos smirked at the eleven familiar faces, "And it looks like we have company."
