Chapters XXXIV - XXXVI

Chapter XXXIV

After explaining all that happened in the worlds to him, Carson Circe and Leo seemed to become the best of friends. Carson had brought out his X-Box 360 Kinect and was bowling while he talked with the group.

"So who all left from Heroes of Olympus besides Leo?"

Leo replied, "Annabeth, Hazel, Piper, Jason, Frank, Percy, Rachel, Thalia, and two of the Olympians. We left before they found out which two."

Carson rolled a gutter ball, "That many left? Did the same amount leave from the other series?"

James explained, "The only series that we know about are Heroes of Olympus, Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and Maximum Ride. Only a few left from Maximum Ride, but 11 left from the others."

Haymitch continued, "Of course, if this is what we think it is, then there are characters from five other series out there as well."

Carson paused his game, "And what do you think it is?"

Leo sighed, "The Book Attack Prophecy. I hate the actual prophecy, so basically the villains from nine different series teamed up to attack their stories, and the people who escape are supposed to save them."

Carson, "Wait. You guys could escape your series. Could the villains follow you?"

Gazzy spoke, "Maybe..."

Leo, "When the prophecy was declared, everyone rushed to build escape pods for the main characters to avoid capture. Somebody told the villains about it, and they began building as well. Knowing our luck, they probably created better technology than we did."

Carson sighed, "So if they get to you..."

James finished, "Our realms are toast."

"Figures."

Haymitch continued, "And the big thing is... if they take our realms, there'll be nothing to stop them from taking yours."

Chapter XXXV

Piper walked up to the notes in the 600 hall the next day. No reply yet. She sighed, "Let's go back."

The group followed her through the maze to the cafeteria, where they watched Jordan talk to her friends. Piper had already memorized the names of the two closest to her: Maddie Jack and Nevada Springs. She sat with their other friends as well, though Piper didn't know the additional ten's names. They sat in a circle around the table, talking about various things; Maddie, Jordan, another girl and a boy were discussing something called Confirmation while Nevada and the other eight friends talked about clothes.

The bell rang and the group ran to hide in the guidance area they'd discussed earlier that morning. Prim spoke, "What's Confirmation?"

Cho explained, "It's some thing for their church. I guess only a couple of them go to the church that requires it."

Polly smiled, "We can ask Jordan after school. Once the hallways clear we'll go back to the 600 hall and see if there's another message."

Nudge, "Sounds like a plan. Now if you all don't mind, I'm gonna go try to figure out where that counselor got her top. It's totes-adore."

When the coast was clear, Piper lead her group into the hallway. She spoke, "If there's no message, we should go find Jordan in her home room."

Cho frowned, "Deal, I guess."

Piper lead the group towards the hallway, hoping that she'd find something of a result. As they reached the end of the 600 hall, she smiled.

Jason had added one more letter. It now spelled TANNER.

Chapter XXXVI

Gaea was positive that she was paired with some evil, mastermind child; someone like Artemis Fowl before he went all "good guy". What she was stuck with, however, was egotistical moron. Ellen Etchelle was obsessed with her beauty, which wasn't a big deal until you put it on her level: complete facial OCD.

It took some time, but Gaea eventually mustered enough power to carry out Bellatrix's plan. It was genius, but would take time. Of course, they had all the time in the world.

Kronos had no better luck with his host. Gary DeSota was no evil urchin; he was just plain weird. The kid wore suspenders to class with a belt. Surprisingly, no one beat him up.

Though it took a while as well, Kronos did gather enough energy to complete his half of the plan. Now he could only hope that things would turn out as they hoped.
