Chapter XIX
Persephone stared at the tree, waiting for the message to be sent. She'd told it before to communicate with her mother. Now, she waited for the response.
The wind blew so suddenly that Persephone almost didn't believe it. She couldn't deny, though, the words she'd heard.
"Small, pink bottle on the bench by the pond."
Persephone ran to the pond, the others filing behind. She could soon feel the minnows swimming beneath her. She slowly walked towards the bench.
There it sat. A small, pink nail polish bottle. She looked at the inscribing. Effie Trinket. Not surprising at all.
Unscrewing the cap, Persephone removed the small, plastic tube and handed the nail polish bottle to Effie so she could marvel at her "achievement".
Persephone removed the paper from the tube and read:
My dearest Persephone,
We've been forced to come to this world by Zeus for one reason and one reason only. We cannot let the villains win. There is too much at stake. Once we find each other, we must find the children, for the fate of all worlds lies with us and them. To be able to see each other, we must each know the other's hosts. We must communicate the names of our hosts to each other for the fate of humanity. Please talk to me.
Your loving mother,
Demeter
Persephone could not give up now. Ignoring the arrogant bragging of Effie towards Snow and Lily, she ran to the tree and whispered in the most urgent of tones, "Tell her we need to speak. NOW."
Chapter XX
Frank carried the small, delicate diamond back to the group,"I think I've got something!"
He handed it to Nicholas, who seemed to become the leader of the group; likely because of his age.
Nick stared at the diamond and nodded, "This is an unusual thing to see in a school, but what makes you think that it'll help us?"
Frank smiled, "Hazel can create diamonds out of thin air. She's a daughter of Pluto; its one of her, say, qualities."
Peter pondered, "Can she do anything with the diamond besides just creating them?"
Frank thought and then shook his head, "I don't know. She's always said she's hated it, and thought of it more as a curse rather than a gift. She's never tried to do anything with it. Why?"
Ron laughed, "Bloody hell! There's a note in it!"
Frank took the diamond back and looked inside. Sure enough, a paper was right in the middle. He could read the words on top; Crush the diamond to get the message.
Frank handed it back to the group, "You need to crush it to get to the note."
Peeta grabbed the diamond and slammed it against the wall. It shattered into millions of pieces; settled along the ground almost in a pattern. He picked up the paper and handed it to Frank.
He was almost scared to open it. Eventually, he made up his mind and read the note.
Whomever found my diamond,
My name is Hazel Levesque. I am an escapee from a series called the Heroes of Olympus. With me are other escapees; Nymphadora Tonks from the Harry Potter series, Clove from the Hunger Games, Lucy from the Chronicles of Narnia, Cleo of the Kane Chronicles, and Angel from the Maximum Ride books.
We need to find our way home. The fate of our world and yours relies on it. Please, if you understand this message, write a reply on the back of this paper. Then gather up the shattered pieces of diamond. Place the diamonds underneath the vending machine and have the message underneath them. I will be checking for a reply tomorrow. Please help us.
Sincerely,
Hazel Levesque
Fang, "Hazel's with Angel?"
Walt, "And Cleo? I did NOT see that one coming."
Frank laughed, "I did."
Alex replied, "So what should we do?"
Just as Frank opened his mouth to answer, a voice came over the intercom, "Attention students and teachers. Due to the technical difficulties experienced today, we have no choice but to dismiss students early. Students, please contact your parents now. Today will not be in need of a make-up day. We will dismiss you from your classes by bell in 25 minutes. Thank you."
Charming, "I think we need to write our note. Now."
Chapter XXI
Percy had to concentrate all his energy on the fountains to get the message across. Eventually, he mustered enough power to make every water fountain explode. However, he no longer had enough energy to do anything except sit and talk.
He could only hope that someone would see the message. It wasn't the most obvious of messages, and only his friends would be able to read it, but it was something.
Harry laughed as he walked back to the group, "Did you hear? Percy made the school call early dismissal."
Percy retaliated, "Did not!! They said technical difficulties! The power went out earlier. It was probably that."
Puck snorted, "You were at least part of it, buddy."
Percy sighed, "So what are they doing?"
Harry, "All the students are getting a hold of their parents. They're getting dismissed in 20 minutes."
Aslan roared, "So in less than an hour, we'll know who our host is. That'll be helpful."
Dylan snickered, "What did you put in the message anyways?"
Percy chuckled, "Nothing that concerns you."

After sitting in silence for 15 minutes, Gale spoke, "We should get out of the hallway, unless you'd all LIKE to be walked through by 300 children..."
The group set out to find a decent room to settle in once the students were "released". They chose room 809. According to the sign next to the room, it was the ELA teacher Ms. Cibo's room. Therefore, it was full of books, which created a relaxing feeling for the characters.
When the bell rang, everyone got tense. They could hear the students in the hallway, conversing about the dismissal. Soon they relaxed, as nobody had entered the room.
Alan sighed, "So what's the plan for the night."
Aslan, "Wait. We can only be in the place where our host is. If school is ending now..."
He never finished the sentence. The environment around them glitched as if they were in a video game. After a few seconds, it stopped and they were standing outside the school, where cars were lining up to pick up their children.
Puck grinned, "We'll I guess that finished your thought..."
