Chapter XXII

After he fixed the power, Leo decided that Gazzy couldn't be trusted in the electrical closet. They transitioned into the hallway and continued moving.

Then the water fountains exploded. Everyone blamed it on him until they realized Percy was here too. They continued.

Now they were outside in the car line. Everyone was asking questions that, as usual, Leo didn't know the answer to.

Gazzy, "Why did we glitch outside? We didn't say anything, so why did we?"

James, "Yeah and why outside? Why not back home?"

Leo lashed, "I DON'T KNOW, ALRIGHT!!!"

Haymitch growled, "Marriott Mouth Island Middle School. I'm back in freaking middle school? Unbelievable."

Gazzy frowned, "Middle school? Isn't that for, like, 11 year olds?"

Leo sighed, "Gazzy. Give it a rest. I'm guessing our host left the school and that's why we glitched outside. So when he gets home, we'll glitch into his home and be able to find out who he is."

James smiled, "That'll be really helpful when trying to tell other people who he is."

Leo laughed, "So it's settled. We wait here until we glitch into our host's home."

About 20 minutes later, their environment glitched again until they were standing in the foyer of a house. Walking in was a boy; he was a little bit taller than Leo, blonde, and sent out an undeniable sense of confidence and humor. There was no doubt; he was definitely Leo's host.

They followed the boy into the kitchen, where he reached into the fridge. He pulled out an apple and a Gatorade and entered another room. He went straight to the computer, pulling paper out of his book bag to start his homework.

Haymitch pondered, "Why can't he see us?"

James, "Maybe he can only see us if we do something..."

Leo laughed, "I wish he COULD see us. His face would be priceless."

The boy looked up from his computer, his eyes widening in fear. "Who the hell are you, and what are you doing in my house?"

Chapter XXIII

It took Piper almost half an hour to convince the girl they weren't serial killers sent to murder her.

To make matters worse, she was extremely paranoid; Piper was thinking on the verge of schizophrenic. Of course, who wouldn't be scared when five strangers show up in your house.

"So if you're not serial killers or robbers, who are you?"

Piper paused. Should I tell her the truth, she thought, or will she just assume we're crazy? She considered the thought and laughed, its not like I have a choice.

"Um. I know your not going to believe us, but..." She paused, unsure of how to continue, "we're fictional beings from books that were forced out by the evil characters."

The girl stared at her, "Are you mad?"

Prim laughed, "I'd be surprised if you didn't think so. My name's Primrose Everdeen."

The girl snorted, "Prim? You're Prim?"

Cho smiled, "So she's at least heard of some of us. My name's Cho Chang."

The girl raised her eyebrows, "So I've got Prim and Cho. Anyone else wanna tell me who they are?"

"Piper McLean."

Girl, "Oh NO WAY!! I love you!!!!"

Nudge laughed, "I'm Nudge and this is Polly."

She nodded, "I'm not sure I know who you two are but," she gestured towards Piper, Prim and Cho, "I know you three. Are you sure I'm not just going crazy."

Piper replied, "In a way, you are."

The girl chuckled, "Great. My name's Jordan Prolixon."

Prim laughed, "So we all know each other. Now what?"

Piper, "Now we figure out what we do with it."

Jordan smiled, "I'd like to know what's going on that made everyone leave their books at the same time..."

Nudge, "That may be a little harder to explain."

Chapter XXIV

"... So when we attacked, they managed to escape before we could get to them." Kronos finished his explanation.

Razim frowned, "So main characters escaped from every book? Isn't that just convenient?"

Osiris growled, "That means the prophecy is coming true. They're going to win the books back!"

Julia Rothman reeled, "There is no way I'm letting them back in that book."

Snow, "We barely took the books. We've got no chance!"

Gaea, "EVERYONE QUIET! We will take the books as our own, just not as we believed we would."

Voldemort stared, "And how are we going to do that?"

Bellatrix smiled, "I think I've got an idea."
