After chatting...with Daphne I unfortunately learnt a lesson I'd learned many times before and will continue to learn, that being
the Stolls are not to be trusted with secrets, and that secrets spread very fast at camp
not that i was any good at keeping secrets but i didn't need the entire camp (plus my family) knowing about my love life, they already knew to much about me and worse was next i had to go to campfire, not only because i promised Malcoml i would but also Lee had made it clear he was only covering me for dinner so i had to get back, i made a stop to see Jake aain before leaving just to see if he needed anything then i left
I got back to the dinner table and everyone was just finishing, Chiron announced that any cabin that had swimming had feee time for the day due to...the incident which lucky for me was my cabin and two others
Chiron encouraged us take this time to train more but seeing as most of my older siblings had already just walked away I was left looking down at Trevor who begged me to play snakes and ladders with him so...we did not training and I dam well played bored games with my brother
Before everyone walked away I somehow managed to tell them all to meet back at the cabin for 8:30 sharp and most of them brushed me off but if they weren't back on time I wouldn't give them anything at campfire so that's on them
Getting back to the cabin, Judith and Trevor set up a "fort" on their bunk (Trevor bed) and as they did I went and checked on everyone else who'd come back to the cabin with us, it was mostly the younger kids,they didn't really know what to do with free time so they would follow back are follow whatever their older siblings or councillor was doing.
Some older kids did come back to Iason decided to take a nap which is honestly what most people do when they are giving free time which completely shocks the younger kids, when I was younger I would also question why all the older kids chose to nap or do nothing with free time instead of doing more archery, or going swimming or whatever but I was also 7 and not treated for my adhd so maybe little me just needed to take a chill pill (literally)
Melody had also come back to the cabin so I walked over to check on her, as I walked over Judith urged me to hurry up and I had to tell them I was going to come over soon, they finally let me pass when I told them to get some snacks from the cabins cabinet
"Why's you come back to the cabin for free time?" I asked, Melody seemed startled she, looked over to me and for a moment she looked scared "you're not in trouble is just wondering because normally people aren't to ecstatic to have nothing to do" I said
"Outside is overwhelming, to many people,to many memories and pain, it's still a lot In here but it's more quiet" she replied as she went back to making her bed which is when I realized she didn't have a "bed" she had a mattress and an old sleeping bag, I'd then recalled that is noticed that this morning but was so distracted with everything else It just didn't register, maybe it was seeing it up close or seeing the fact she was using what looked like a winter jacket as a pillow but this wasn't right
"Chrions been training you personally right?" I asked in some sorts ingorong her comment but I had a point
"Yeah" she agreed
"Bet Ella's not to happy about that...not that point..My point is you can't learn to control your powers or do anything really if you're sleeping on that" I said
"I'm..fi." she paused for a second "Sara warned me about this"
"About what" I chuckled
