Aiden POV
This few days have been great, my mom is looking good and free.
She did told me she talk to my grandma if she could lend us some money until my mom can get a good lawyer and keep the house.
I hope that my dad is decent enough to let her keep it, cause he's the one who fucked up.
She asked for more hours at her job and I'm thinking about getting a job but I'll see that later now it's New Year's Eve and I'm getting ready for the party later.
Last year the party sucked, Max was with some girl and m Jake ran off to be with Lucy at midnight so I was all by myself but not this year.
Hanna's coming with me and it makes everything a lot better.
Hopefully we can let all the problems this year and start new just us and our friends.
Next year scares me a bit because of college and all but with Daisy by my side I can't complain.
I wait for Hanna outside her house and when the door opens up, I turn immediately.
Fuck
Maybe we can ditch the party and stay in all night. She's looking beautiful and dangerous in that skin tight silver dress with her breast looking delicious.
She must notice I'm checking her out cause she sends me a kiss and twirls.
An open back.... My girl is looking for trouble.
"Do you like it?" She asks
"Oh baby, I want to kidnap you and lock you in my room"
"We can't. We have a party to go" she gives me a kiss and opens the car door "come on or we'll be late"
I roll my eyes and got in.
The football team party is no small party, this place is huge and packed with the whole team and people they invited in.
The music is loud and outside there's already people puking.
"You preferred this to my room?" I ask Hanna but she just laughs and pulls me inside.
I don't see Max or Jake, I want to look better but Hanna grabs me to dance.
I don't even oppose her, I just keep her close to me and move to the rhythm or at least try to.
She's looking stunning and I know there are guys looking at her, I don't blame them.
She's by far the most beautiful girl in here and she's in my arms, I hope they recognize that or we're gonna have problems.
We are dancing, my hands on her hip while she's moving like crazy. I'm hard and I hope no one notices.
The thing I notice is when I look away from her I see Ethan, he's standing with some guys, drink in his hand and his eyes fix on Hanna.
I glare at him but he doesn't even noticed, he's just looking at my girl. She's mine motherfucker.
Some time after, Hanna still wants to dance so we still are but I'm fucking pissed cause Ethan is still looking at us.
He's planning something, sure enough just as we were slow dancing, he came to us.
He reaches out for her hand like I'm not here.
"Mind if I steal her for a dance?" Ethan asks, his tone dripping with arrogance.
I feel my jaw clenching, my protective instincts kicking in.
I tighten my grip on Hanna's waist, making it clear that she wasn't going anywhere. "Yeah, actually, I do mind," I say, my voice low and dangerous.
Ethan chuckles, unfazed by my glare. "Come on, man, it's just a dance. What's the harm?"
But before I could respond, Hanna speaks up, her tone polite but firm. "Ethan, I'm here with Aiden. Please, just leave us alone."
"Is this really what you want, Hanna?"
My fists tighten at my sides, the urge to punch Ethan growing stronger by the second.
But before I could do anything, Hanna steps forward, placing a hand on my chest as if to hold me back.
"Aiden is exactly who I want," Hanna says, her voice strong and unwavering. "And if you don't back off, next time it won't be him punching you—it'll be me."
Fuck. Is it wrong I'm fucking hard?
Ethan's eyes widen in surprise, and for a moment, he looks like he might actually listen. But then, he laughs, a bitter sound that grated on my nerves. "Suit yourself," Ethan says, taking a step back. "But don't say I didn't warn you."
With that, he turned and walks away, disappearing into the crowd.
Hanna turns to face me, her eyes searching mine. "Are you okay?" she asks softly, concern lacing her voice.
I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself . I nod, pulling her into his arms. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just... I don't like the way he looks at you. Like he thinks he has a chance."
Hanna smiles, her hands resting on my chest as she looked up at me. "He doesn't have a chance, Aiden. You're the only one I want."
Her words sent a wave of warmth through me, easing the tension in his chest. He leans down, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "You're it baby."
As the countdown to midnight begins, the energy in the room shifts.
"Ten... nine... eight..."
Couple all over the room getting ready for the kiss, I know I am too. I now see Jake with Lucy at the corner but Max is still missing.
"Three... two... one... Happy New Year!"
The room erupted in cheers, and I don't waste a second. I cup Hanna face in my hands and kissed her, pouring all of his love and passion into that one moment.
The noise of the party fades away, and all I can focus on was the feel of her lips against mine, the way her body fit perfectly against my own.
When we finally pull away, both of us are breathless, their foreheads resting against each other's.
"Happy New Year, Daisy."
"Happy New Year" she says kissing me again
