Hanna POV

It's Friday, I should be happy but I'm feeling way too nervous.

I barely slept last night, anticipation and nerves battling for dominance. I lost the battle clearly.

Today is my date with Ethan, and I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it.

He's sweet, hot and very very very nice, I should be over the moon but my stomach is not feeling butterflies, it's more live flies.

I'm feeling nervous and nauseous.

Lucy picks me up for school, she's smiling ear to ear. Or she had a good night or excited for me. Or both.

"So, ready for your big date tonight?" she asks, glancing over at me with a grin as we pull into the school parking lot.

Yup, I was right both.

"I'm nervous," I admit, fiddling with the strap of my backpack. "What if it's awkward? Or worse, what if we have nothing to talk about?"

Lucy laughs. "You'll be fine, Hanna. Just be yourself. Ethan already likes you if he asked you out"

"Yeah...." I say

"You're not sure about him? That's the thing?" She's my best friend for a reason. I just nod my head and look at her like she has all the answers "Go and have fun, you're not oblige to make out with him or sell him your soul. It's just a date"

As we step out of the car, Jake is waiting by the entrance. He greets Lucy with a quick kiss, then turns to me with a friendly smile.

"Hey, Hanna. Ready for your date tonight?" he asks, his tone teasing.

"I guess so," I say

Jake winks. "If you need rescuing, just give me a call. I'll come save you from any awkward silences. I can look scary if I try real hard"

"Thanks, Rambo" I reply, grateful for his support. "Hopefully, I won't need to take you up on that offer."

Today school feels like a million years, every time I look at the time, it's stuck.

Each class more boring than the others, I can't wait for this to finish. I'm not the only one, Lucy's drawing on her notebook like she's the next Picasso. Jake is trying to find how to make Max fall off his chair and Aiden is trying to keep Max on his chair.

Is it bad I wanna see him fall? Nope, that would be hilarious.

Finally, the bell rings and than means the end of my torture.

As I gather my things and head out of the classroom, I see Ethan waiting for me by my locker.

"Hey," he says, his smile warm and genuine. "I just wanted to check if we're still on for tonight?"

"Yeah, definitely," I reply, seeing him smile made me feel more at easy for tonight

Before I can say anything more, Aiden appears out of nowhere, his expression dark and intense. "Fuck off, I need to speak with her" he says, his voice leaving no room for argument.

He ignores me a little more over a year and now he magically remembers he wants to speak with me. I'm not dumb, he's making my life a living hell and ruin my chances with Ethan.

"Calm down man, we're talking. Can you wait a bit?" Ethan asks, but poor boy he doesn't know how Aiden works. But I do and this boys doesn't have any patience.

"I'm not talking to you" Aiden says not even looking at him

I glance at Ethan, who looks confused "Uh, I'll see you later. I need to deal with this ," I say, following Aiden as he leads me down the hall.
