||Chapter 88: Gordon's Return||

After killing the last guard, taking the keys and going to get Gordon.

Gordon stood there, arms folded and glaring daggers as they unlocked the cell.
"Took you long enough."
"There was uhm. . . Complications; We had to lay low and. . . Other things."
Gordon nods, taking a deep breath,"Now. . .", he took a few steps towards the Cultist,"Would you be so kind and explain. . .", he then grabbed the robes, pulling them down in anger,"YOU WANNA EXPLAIN WHY NONE OF THEM HAVE DIED AND CROWFACE HASN'T KILLED THEM!?!?", The Cultist gulped,"L-Look, the coins are working but. . . Despite that, everyone is sticking together and overcoming it and Crowface, we don't know. . .! It's been acting weird and hesitating, wanting plans to be pushed back and. . . It began not too long after that family moved in-.", Gordon frowned, what does a family have to do with-?
"Nevermind; You're going to explain everything when we get back."
"Y-Yes Sir."
And The Cultist lead Gordon out of the jail.
Freedom at last.

Gordon adjusted the robe,"I'll shave later. . . For now.", Gordon turned to the Cultists,"Now, explain why things have been going slow, wrong and more on Crowface, hesitating or even backing out.", Gordon glared daggers at them.
One spoke,"Well, we have our target on Trinity Blades, she and the other children are still being the brats, the adults are also getting involved, sticking together and I think they're all gonna ruin the plans.", then another spoke,"And Crowface. . . We're not sure why it's happening, the behaviour started not long after a family moved into the house across the Petersons, a family of 3 that are close to The Peterson's.", Gordon frowned, putting the gloves on.
Why would this start now, after a family moves in??
Hm.
"This family. . . What can you tell me about them?"

Gordon groaned, kneeling down behind the trees and woods by the park.
"I'm getting too old for this shit."
He managed to track this kid down with a picture they had of his family; Father, Mother and a boy that looks to be 11 or 12.
He found him hanging around Petersons Brats and Lucy.
"So, why would you bring a slingshot to a fair??"
Aaron smiled,"Just in case someone decides to mess with us, be a Karen or you know: Cause trouble.", Mya went down the slide,"All fun and games till Dad grounds you.", Aaron turned to her,"To be fair; Dad always had to deal with horrible people that tried to tell him how to do his own job, I'm surprised he never punched them.", Mya made a face, Lucy came over with a ball,"Cause he has self control.", Aaron shrugged,"Fair enough.", guess they'd he at the fair, that's a surprise.
But why would Crowface be acting weird-
. . .
He looked at the boy in blue, and then looked at the papers he was given.

'The boy's parents, his father works in The Banner and his mother is a very well known scientist and the family is very close to The Petersons.'
'When we talk out the plans, Crowface has said he had other plans for the kid, once we suggested killing the boy when he was sleepwalking outside and full chest; Crowface yelled no.'

Gordon smiled, that's why.
As he looked at Aaron, Mya and the boy who's apparently called. . . Nicholas, though he's known as Nicky.
He could see why Crowface didn't want to hurt the boy, and from what he could tell; Aaron and Mya were shielding him, such a familiar sight.

"The boy. . . He'll be of use; I'll keep him alive."
A Cultist turned to him,"Oh? You wouldn't. . . Want him dead?", "Not at all; The boy is more useful alive, but I would like to know more about him and family.", Gordon smiled, walking away.
"I hope to see Norman again. . . That would be great."
A Cultist shuddered as Gordon left.

Mr Peterson sat Mya and Aaron down.
"Kids. . . I know you're excited for the Fair, but with everything going on from The Cult and what Wilson told us; Promise me you'll stay together, keep each other safe and if you see anything, you come to us.", Mya and Aaron nod, Mya smiled,"Of course Dad; We're gonna protect Nicky and Lucy!", Mr Peterson nods, relaxing a little. . . Only a little, since Norman hasn't called back from the Catacombs.
