Keith closed a book, setting it aside and opening around book.
Okay: So this is one seems to detail more into what they were up to than just rituals, but more attempting at dark magic, experiments on wild animals.
Keith made a sticky note of that, probably may be the key answer to why the animals acted so weird and the red eyes.
Maybe something was left over from those experiments that carried through the animals, consuming or passing it down??
"I'll send a team out."
Keith flipped to the next page, finding a blank page and 3 games.
Project: Nissan Kimmy
Project: Jim Willian
Project: Issac
The last one's name was blurred, but there were two full names.
Kimmy. . . Had he heard of that name somewhere before.
"Least they were kind enough to leave full names."
He then checked the system.

Norman picked up the phone, stepping away from his desk as the caller was Keith.
"Hello, Keith; How can I help you."
"Norman. . . Can you do me a favour. . .?"
Norman paused.
"Keith? You sound. . . Is everything okay, what's wrong?"
"Just. . . Could you get me, missing cases from the Banner Archive; Nissan Kimmy and Jim Willian. . . Just those two for now. . ."
. . .
"Okay. . ."
~
Norman came in, worried to see Keith looking awful.
Sad? Disheartened??
"Keith, what. . ."
He put the files down, Keith mentioned him to look at the book.
Norman did, bracing himself for whatever is inside.
. . .
Norman choked, caught off guard and unable to get words out of his throat.
"Those missing people. . . They were taken by The Cult. . . Used for experiments. . ."
Keith took his hat off,"This opens. . . So many possibilities and answers to. . . So many missing people. . .", Norman covered his mouth.
Kimmy was such an example.
A picture of a bright young lady, a school girl; Then looking what the experiments did to her in each progression picture.
Her hair thinning, falling out, losing her energy, her skin becoming damaged, one picture she was curled up in the corner with her jacket, a little note at the bottom.
'She won't show us her face, any attempt to she will attack.'
Keith shuddered, leaning back in his seat,"Each experiments detailed it all. . . Jim becoming attached to a cone, wouldn't let anyone take it off, or as you read Kimmy's file. . .", Keith shook his head, Norman gulped,"I. . . I recognise some formulas, I'm not an experiment but. . . What are on earth were they trying to accomplish with it.", silence rang between them.
. . .
"You know. . . Some small part of me, as navie as it sounds, I hoped maybe. . . They had just ran away or, they'd be found or turn up eventually. . ."
Keith shook his head; Idiot. . .
Norman nods.
. . .
Wait-
"Hold on. . . Does have a breakthrough but, I remember Leonard mentioned Crowface was an experiment too.", Norman flipped through the pages, hoping nothing wad blurred, damaged or torn out but no. . .
"What. . . There's nothing on Crowface."
Keith stood up, looking over Norman's shoulder,"Nothing?", "The last page says. . . Another fail; We got what we wanted.", Norman flipped through the pages again,"All these pages saw whatever they were doing failed, and then put the people out of their misery but. . . Why not document what they did to Crowface if the did it for the others, why is the topic of Crowface so guarded.", Keith nods,"And what was done to Crowface, and if Crowface was the first why wouldn't they do it again, or if he was the last then why not document it and continue.", big questions hung in the air.
