Despite the weird dream, YN still trains with her stepbrothers, with whom she has become quite close through all those intense training sessions.
"Keep those hands up, your aim is their head and face," Yoongi corrected her posture.
"Punch harder," Jungkooks added on.
However, as she was about to give a punch, a sudden, vivid flash of her dream occurred —she felt the cold bite of metal around her wrists for that moment and heard distant laughter. The sensation was so real that her knees buckled, and she stumbled backwards.
"Focus," Yoongi snapped, stepping back. "Your form's a mess today. What's going on?"
"Nothing. I'm fine,"
Jungkook snorted. "Doesn't look like 'nothing.' You're off your game."
"Back off," Jin interjected, handing YN a water bottle. "Everyone has off days. Maybe she just needs a break."
"No," YN said firmly. "I'm fine. Let's keep going."
Yoongi hesitated but nodded. "Alright. Let's try again."
The session continued, but YN's unease grew and during a spar with Taehyung, the vision happened again but the laughter was louder.
"Hey!" Taehyung rushed to her side, his expression concerned. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," she lied, brushing herself off. "Just tired."
Taehyung frowned, but he didn't push. Namjoon, however, was less forgiving.
"Enough for today," he said firmly, stepping into the centre of the battleground. "Training's over."
"But I can keep going!" YN protested, anger flaring in her chest.
"No," Namjoon said, his tone calm but unyielding. "You're not focused, and pushing yourself like this won't help. Go rest."
As the others left the room, Namjoon stayed behind, his gaze thoughtful. "What's going on with you, YN?" he asked, his voice softer now. "This isn't like you."
"It's nothing," YN said, crossing her arms. But Namjoon's patient silence made her crumble. "I've just... been having weird dreams lately. That's all."
Namjoon tilted his head in confusion. "Weird how?"
She hesitated, choosing her words carefully. "Just... unsettling. I don't know what they mean."
"Dreams can be tricky," Namjoon said. "They're a reflection of what's going on in your mind—your fears, your stress, even your desires. Maybe it's just your subconscious grappling with everything you're going through."
YN nodded her head and he left her alone.
After the dinner, YN found herself in the library to clear her mind. Her fingers traced the spines of old books until she stopped at one that seemed out of place - an aged, leather-bound journal. She opened it, the faded handwriting instantly recognizable as her father's.
The entries were fragmented, with scattered thoughts about the second transformation. But one line stood out:
"The mirror doesn't just reflect—it reveals. Beware of what you see. Fear and desire can distort even the clearest image."Her breath hitched. Was the dream connected to her transformation? To her father's legacy?
