The house went heavy and the stepbrothers gathered in the living room, their faces reflecting varying degrees of shock and grief.
Jin sat with his head in his hands, while Jimin stared blankly at the floor. Taehyung paced back and forth, muttering curses under his breath, while Yoongi leaned against the wall, his expression unreadable but his clenched fists betraying his anger.
YN felt numb. Her mother - the one person who had always been with her through her darkest time is now gone.
"I should have gone with her," Namjoon said, breaking the weighty silence lingering around the atmosphere.
"Don't there's nothing you or us can do," Hoseok comforted him "None of us knew that this would happen,"
"They were supposed to be safe! The Moonlight Pack should have kept them safe!" Yoongi burst out. "Those fuckers...can't even keep their guest safe,"
Jungkook could not help but slam his fist on the table. "Rogues don't just attack randomly. This was planned by the Moonlight Pack,"
"But what evidence do we have?" Jin barked which caught many off guard as this was the first time they had witnessed Jin losing his temper.
Amidst the chaos, YN could her mom's voice saying: 'Be strong. Whatever's bothering you, don't let it overwhelm you.'
"We can't let this break us," YN said quietly, her voice cutting through the noise and all of them turned their attention to her with a hint of surprise.
"I don't think neither our parents want us to be down. They would want us to figure out who was the one and why this happened as well as make sure this won't happen again," YN said in a firm tone.
"YN is right. We must find out who and why," Namjoon nods his head. "How? Or where do you start?" Jimin looks at his older brother.
"At the Moonlight Pack," Yoongi said with his tone cold and determined. "And make sure we made them pay,"
"We should also let our people know," YN suggested. "I'll do it. Being the oldest, I think I should do it," Jin volunteered then headed towards his late father's study room to prepare his speech.
