The next few days passed in a haze for YN. Her symptoms worsened, becoming increasingly restless and reactive to her body. She could no longer deny what was happening: this overwhelming compulsion to be near the brothers, the pull that made her heart rush with each touch of theirs, was now overwhelming.

They were there even when she tried to keep them at arm's length, whenever she trained, rested, and tried to sleep.

Namjoon was always there, silently observing her with so much intensity, while Jungkook always kept his protective instincts on, drawing him near.

Taehyung's teasing was flirtier than usual, Jimin hovered, his unspoken desire a palpable thing in the air. Even Jin was unusually attentive, many times asking how she was doing and checking to see if she was okay.

She could feel herself suffocating under the weight of their brothers' incessant presence-a strong, smothering presence that could be resisted less and less by the day.

One evening, while alone in the common area, her chest tightened up a little too much. She jumped up, breathing shallow, and aching in ways she couldn't understand. She needed to get out—needed to be away from them, if only for a moment.

But as she reached for the door, a familiar hand stopped her.

Namjoon's voice was low and soothing, but there was no mistaking the edge to it. "You're not running away from us."

Her heart hammered against her chest. "I'm not running," she whispered thickly. "I just. I need space.

We won't give you space," Namjoon said softly, with no room for argument. "Not until we've gotten through this, we'll be by your side, every step of the way."

YN's chest constricted as, finally, the overwhelming pressure cracked her facade. "Why?" she asked, trembling. "Why won't you let me go?"

Namjoon stepped closer to her, and his eyes were dark with something which she couldn't quite put her finger on. "Because we're not letting you slip away. Not this time."

And in that instant, YN knew whether she was ready or not, they had already made up their mind for her.

The tension in the packhouse was higher than ever, and then, out of nowhere, it flipped. The brothers, despite their overwhelming need to keep YN close, had agreed to give her the space she had been asking for. T

hey backed off, just as they had promised, giving her room to breathe, to process everything that was happening to her.

It was hard. They each fought this urge to be near her - to check on her constantly- but they trusted Namjoon's decision.

Well, let YN come to them instead while all of them busied themselves, each restless with different worries about the second transformation pending in QDs.

But she had already made up her mind. The brothers felt like they were giving her the space she needed, while they walked into a trap she was building. She had crossed the threshold of the second transformation; she had changed.

It was a quiet morning when it happened. The brothers were gathered in the training room, discussing pack matters, when a soft yet familiar pull tugged at their senses. A change in the air. The temperature in the room seemed to drop, the hairs on the back of their necks standing up.

Yoongi's head snapped to the door. "Something's wrong."

Hoseok narrowed his eyes, his instincts on high alert. "Where's YN?"

Namjoon abruptly rose to his feet. "She is in her room; I'll go check up on her."

The brothers ran down the hall but froze outside of YN's room, as the door was wide open and crackling with energy inside.

"YN?" Namjoon called out softly, taking a step into the room.

The room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn. YN stood by the window, her back to them, her body tense, as though she were struggling to hold something in.

"YN, what's going on?" Jungkook asked in a low tone, eyes scanning her for any signs of distress.

She slowly turned around, and her eyes seemed to be glowing with an ashen, otherworldly light. Her features had been so human but now were sharp, more defined, with an intensity radiating from the form they had never seen from her before.

For several moments, nobody said anything. The brothers stood frozen in shock, astounded by what was taking place before their eyes. YN stood tall, almost in a regal posture, her aura undeniably different.

"I-I don't know what's happening," YN's voice was hoarse but stronger than it had ever been before. "I just. I feel. different."

The brothers' eyes widened into incredulity. Standing before them wasn't just the girl they'd been shielding. It wasn't the YN they knew.

It was an Alpha.
