As sunset neared, so did the tension between all. It was plain enough in everybody's view risk of being careless enough to lose it-worse still, to lose a life in one small oversight. As the council's meeting grew imminent, Namjoon again had them rounded for a last strategy meeting.

We've found enough to take this to the council," Namjoon said, spreading the files and letter on the table. "But we need to prepare for resistance. Hyeon won't go down without a fight."

"We can't just walk in there and lay everything out," Yoongi said. "He's got allies. They'll try to discredit us or claim the evidence is fabricated.

Hoseok nodded. "We need to catch him off guard. Slip him in front of the council."

"How?" Jungkook asked, his eyes narrowing. "Hyeon's good at playing his cards close to his chest."

Taehyung leaned back in his chair and adopted an unholy smile. "We use his ego against him. He'll think we're trying to frame him, so he plays up the situation.

"And while he's on the defensive, we present the real evidence," Jimin added, his voice even.

Namjoon smiled grimly. "Exactly. But first, we need to secure this evidence. If Hyeon's spies catch wind of it, we're done."

Yoongi tapped the table. "I'll keep the files hidden until the last moment. Let him think we've got nothing until it's too late."

Namjoon nodded. "Good. Everyone knows their role. Let's move."

The imposing building and stone walls echoed centuries of tradition. Namjoon entered it with the group, all eyes upon them curiously and suspiciously. Beta Hyeon stood near the head of the room, his polished demeanour as unshakeable as ever.

"Ah, the visiting delegation," Hyeon said smoothly, his smile sharp. "I trust your stay has been. enlightening?

Namjoon smiled back with the same delicacy. "Very."

The meeting was called to order by the older, very authoritative council leader, a wolf. "We are here to discuss the tragic events surrounding the death of Alpha Dae Hong and the recent rogue attacks. Beta Hyeon, as acting leader, you may begin."

Hyeon stepped forward, his voice clear and authoritative. "Thank you, Elder Sang. The Moonlight Pack has done everything in its power to cooperate with the investigation. While the attacks were tragic, there is no evidence to suggest internal foul play."

Namjoon's eyes flicked to his team, and they nodded. It was time.

"Actually," Namjoon said, his voice carrying through the hall, "we've uncovered evidence that tells a very different story."

The room stirred, and Namjoon stepping forward with the letter in his hands.

Hyeon's smile faltered for the first time as he listened to Namjoon read aloud from the letter:

"Hyeon is no longer fit to lead. His ambitions threaten the pack's future."

A murmur rumbled from the council, shock rippling through the room.

"This is a letter written by Alpha Dae Hong himself, showing he intended to take power away from Beta Hyeon," Namjoon continued. "And that's not all. We have found patrol orders, financial records, and testimony from members of the Moonlight Pack proving that Hyeon ordered the attack on Alpha Dae Hong."

Hyeon's eyes flared in anger, but then he smoothed out his face. "These accusations are ridiculous! Made up by outsiders looking to destabilize our pack."

Fabricated?" Yoongi said, taking another step forward with a dangerous smile. "Then explain to me why your wolves were commanded to fabricate rogue evidence on the borders."

Hyeon opened his mouth to protest but was quickly overridden by Taehyung, who added, "And explain why you funnelled pack money into your accounts related to the Ironfang Pack."

The council gasped collectively. Elder Sang stamped the ground with his staff and asked sternly, "Is this true, Hyeon?

Hyeon straightened, his mask cracking. "You cannot take the word of outsiders over your Beta! This is an insult to the Moonlight Pack!"

Namjoon smiled coldly. "Then you won't mind if we bring in witnesses."

The door opened and Jungkook escorted the two pack members they had confronted earlier into the hall.

"These wolves have confessed to staging the rogue attack under Hyeon's orders," Namjoon said. "And they're ready to testify."

Hyeon's calm façade crumbled as the wolves spoke, their voices trembling but clear. With every word, another nail was driven into the coffin of his authority.

"You fools!" Hyeon snarled, his control snapping. "You think the council will side with weaklings like you over me?"

"Hyeon!" Elder Sang's voice thundered through the hall. "You have brought shame to this pack. Your actions are treacherous and unforgivable."

Realizing he was cornered, Hyeon's expression turned desperate. "You don't understand! Everything I did was for the survival of this pack! The Ironfang alliance was necessary!"

"Necessary?" Namjoon said sharply. "You betrayed my father, endangered your wolves, and sacrificed innocent lives for power."

The guards moved to restrain Hyeon, who struggled against their hold. "You'll regret this! You're all blind to what's coming!

As Hyeon was dragged from the hall, the council turned to Namjoon and his team. Elder Sang bowed his head respectfully.

"You've uncovered a great betrayal," he said, his voice grave. "The Moonlight Pack owes you a debt we can never repay."
