The days since YN's change had been a mix of relief and wariness. She was back to being an Omega, but the dynamic between her and BTS's members had changed. They'd restored her to what they seemed to believe was her rightful place but were also more guarded with her, more protective-perhaps even possessive.

The brothers had made it obvious that they would never let YN slip away from them again. They had been witness to what happened once she gave in to her Alpha nature, and the very concept of losing her to that again terrified them.

And so, in trying to make sure she remains their Omega and to get some semblance of control back-they started working on new, stricter rules.

It was like every day was filled with one endless limit after the other. No more did YN have this freedom to move about the pack without someone watching over her. They would take shifts, ensuring that she was never left to her own devices for very long. If she went out of the compound, one of the brothers was always with her, and at sleeping time, someone stood watch at the door, watching over her.

"YN, I don't want you going into town alone," Namjoon told her one evening when she was getting ready to leave the compound for fresh air. His voice was even, but there was a note of strain in it.

She raised an eyebrow at this new requirement. "Why? I've gone to town myself for weeks now."

That was before," he said, his voice low but firm. "Things have changed. I don't want you out there without protection."

YN felt the rise of heat and frustration well up in her chest. Always independent, this new level of control over her every move was suffocating. "I'm capable, Namjoon. I can take care of myself.

"I know you can," he said, his eyes softening for a moment. "But I don't want to take any chances. Not after everything."

His words stung a lot more than she anticipated. The inflexion of his "everything" drove it deep inside her skull that in his eyes she was still fragile, still something to be protected. She tried to argue, but the soft yet unyielding grip of Namjoon's hand around her arm made crystal clear this wasn't open for discussion.

"Just - please, YN. Just trust me," he said softly, the sound of desperation laced in his voice.

She wavered for a moment, then nodded reluctantly, not wanting a fight on this, while screaming inside to defend herself against the implication that she couldn't manage without him.

As days wore on, it became clear Namjoon wasn't the only one pulling tighter reins. The usually cool demeanour of Yoongi was now more intense, he found himself hovering over her at all times, keeping an eye on everything she did, and, if straying too far from the group, he was quick to intervene.

Where are you off to?" Yoongi had asked one afternoon when YN walked out of the main hall with a certain fire in her eyes.

"I need space," she replied calmly and tried to walk past him.

Yoongi stepped into her path, blocking the way forward. "No. You are not leaving alone.

YN's frustration boiled over. "Why? I've done nothing but stay in this place like a prisoner. I'm not asking for much. I just want to get some air."

"You're not a prisoner," Yoongi said, his voice low and firm. "But you're not going anywhere alone, either."

YN stared at him, her jaw clenched. "Why are you all acting like I'm some delicate little thing that can't take care of herself?

Yoongi's eyes darkened, his jaw tightening. "You don't understand. You're more than that. You mean more to us than you realize."

She could hear the unsaid words hanging in the air-we can't lose you again. But YN wasn't ready for that level of control. She had always been more than someone to be protected.

"You can't keep treating me like I'm a child," she snapped, pushing past him. "I'm not your responsibility."

Yoongi's gaze followed her retreating figure this time, but he did nothing to stop her. Deep down, he knew she was right, but his overwhelming need to keep her safe clouded his judgment.

It wasn't just Namjoon and Yoongi who had grown possessive; all the brothers had begun to show subtle—yet unmistakable—signs of control. They had placed themselves between YN and anyone who approached her, and they were never far behind when she ventured out of the house.

Taehyung, usually playful and light, had become so much more serious when it came to YN. He would jump into any conversation before it could even start and make sure no one was around her for too long.

"Jimin, I think it's time for YN to rest," Taehyung said one evening, inserting himself between YN and Jimin when he attempted to talk to her after a long day of pack business.

YN frowned, irritated by his interruption. "I'm fine, Taehyung. Don't act like I'm fragile."

"I'm just trying to protect you," he said softly, but the possessiveness in his voice was unmistakable.

Jimin gave Taehyung a look of confusion. "What's going on?"

"Let's just leave her alone for the time being," Taehyung grumbled, his glare narrowing toward anyone who got too close to her. "She needs rest."

Jimin's gaze darted between YN and Taehyung. Now it was clear  - something off-kilter was going on regarding how these brothers were reacting.

It had become thick; one could cut the tension with a knife, and it got worse day in and day out. The brothers were possessive and thus overbearing; they were both trying to stake some sort of claim in their particular way. They're not just protective of her; they want to control every bit of her life.

It was never lifted the oppressive feeling of being watched, no matter how quiet a moment she sought to herself alone - one of them would just pop up to check in on her or offer the help she did not need.

It wasn't frustrating; it was infuriating. She felt that he was trying to mould her back into a person she wasn't, someone they could control. She wasn't an object to be caged and kept safe; she was their equal, their partner.

And although it seemed that no amount of trying would let her break free, the more brotherly love they showered upon her, the less airspace to allow breathing room. This is a constant reminder that they may indeed seem obsessed with not being far apart again, and at present, it is starting to weigh her down.

One night, unable to bear it anymore, YN stormed into the common where all seven brothers sat around the table speaking in hushed tones amongst themselves. They all looked up at her in surprise as she came in.

"YN, what's wrong?" Namjoon asked an eyebrow furrowed with concern.

She clenched her fists, feeling the pressure rise in her head. "What's wrong? You are suffocating me-so many rules every day. You watching me like some sort of prisoner. I'm not a child anymore."

The brothers shifted uneasy glances at each other.

We're just trying to protect you," Yoongi finally said, his voice soft and yet firm. "You don't understand what we did. it's all to make sure we don't lose you again."

"I get it," YN snapped, her voice rising high in frustration. "But I don't need to be watched 24/7. I'm not some fragile thing you have to guard constantly.

Hoseok looked at her with deep concern: "You don't understand it, YN. We love you. We want you safe. We want you with us always."

"And I want to breathe!" she shouted, her weight finally boiling over. "I want space. I want freedom. Not your chains!

Her words cut deep, and in the silence that followed, it became crystal clear: to the brothers, it had never crossed their minds how tight their grip on her was. But YN wasn't theirs to restrain.

Not anymore.
