The weeks following the battle with Ironfang brought, little by little, great peace to the pack. Under the leadership of Namjoon, the pack prospered. Systems were in place that strengthened defences, shifts changed to balance work and rest appropriately, and the thoughtful, strategic mind of Namjoon made sure all felt seen and valued.

Gone was the tension, as a sense of purpose now filled the air. Brothers cooperated, closer than ever. Natural-born leader Namjoon delegated each task very well, trusting in the brother's area of expertise.

Jin and Hoseok worked on morale and logistics, making sure the pack was fed, trained, and emotionally catered for. Yoongi and Jimin doubled down on patrol strategies to keep their borders secure. The pack's most agile fighters, Taehyung and Jungkook, spearheaded intense training sessions, building their warriors' strength.

And at the centre of it all was Namjoon, calmly observing every detail with a firm resolve.

The rhythm of life had changed for YN. This fight had been a blunt reminder of how much more she needed to go, but it was also a fire starter within her. She had seen the pack's strength and resilience firsthand and was determined to contribute in a meaningful way.

Namjoon himself took up her training again, steady and unhurried. They would meet early mornings, when the sun had barely risen, behind the packhouse in the clearing. It was isolated by the tall trees that covered the surrounding lands.

"Today, speed and reflexes," Namjoon said one morning, throwing her a wooden staff. "Your strength is building, but sometimes when strength will not work, speed will save your life.

YN caught the staff and nodded, determination shining in her eyes. "I'm ready."

The session began with basic drills, but Namjoon quickly escalated the pace, testing her limits. YN gritted her teeth and pushed through, sweat dripping down her brow as she matched his movements.

"Good," Namjoon said after an hour, his tone approving. "Your instincts are sharp. But don't hesitate—trust them. Overthinking can get you killed."

YN nodded, absorbing his words like a sponge.

After the training session, YN collapsed onto the grass, her chest heaving. Namjoon sat beside her, offering her a water bottle.

"You're improving quickly," he said with a small smile. "You've got a natural talent for this."

YN took a long sip of water before answering. "Thanks. But I've got a long way to go before I'm anywhere near your level."

Namjoon chuckled. "That's the point of training. Even I'm still learning."

She looked at him in surprise. "You? Learning? You're the Alpha. Don't you already know everything?"

He laughed, the sound rich and warm. "Hardly. Being Alpha doesn't mean being perfect. It means knowing when to listen when to adapt, and when to trust others. Leadership is a skill, not a destination.

YN considered his words, feeling a newfound respect for him. "You make it look easy."

"It's not," Namjoon admitted, his gaze thoughtful. "But with the right people around you, it becomes manageable. And you're one of those people, YN. Don't forget that."

Her heart swelled at his words, and for the first time since the battle, she felt like she truly belonged.

Namjoon's focus wasn't just on YN's training; it was on the pack as a whole. He worked out new systems to ensure their protection and development. Patrols became more systematic, sparring more frequent, and extra mentorship for the younger wolves.

The pack started to thrive under the leadership of Namjoon. Border fortifications were tightened, alliances with neighbouring packs solidified, and contingency plans in case of emergencies were drawn up.

The brothers, too, found their roles more defined and fulfilling: Jin took pride in managing the pack's resources, Hoseok became a trusted confidant and morale booster, and the others excelled in their respective duties.

One evening, after weeks of rigorous training, Namjoon called YN to the main hall. The brothers were there, their faces unreadable.

"What's going on?" YN asked, his eyes darting around the room.

Namjoon stepped forward with a proud smile. "You have proved yourself, YN, not through training but with your actions. In the Ironfang attack, you kept our people safe. That's leadership. Your progress in combat has also been remarkable.

Jin stepped forward, holding out a small, intricately carved dagger. "This is yours now. A symbol of your place in the pack and your readiness to fight alongside us when the time comes."

YN took the dagger, her hands trembling slightly. "I...I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything," Jimin said with a grin. "Just don't stab any of us with it.

The room erupted into laughter, and YN felt the weight of their support settle over her like a warm blanket.

"You've earned this," Namjoon said softly. "And we're proud of you."

As the pack celebrated her achievement, YN felt a sense of belonging she had never known before. She wasn't just a member of the pack—she was part of its future.

For the first time in months, the balance had been restored to the pack. Under the guidance of Namjoon, they were now stronger than ever. The brothers had united, and the pack members were doing wonderfully; YN's journey was just getting underway.

Even as he was surrounded by this moment of peace, Namjoon never once lowered his defences. He knew that difficulties would arise, and he prepared for them head-on with his pack by his side.

And as YN stood among them, dagger in hand, she knew she was ready for whatever came next.
