As Aiah silently slandered Mikha in her mind, the woman in question was sitting in her office, her phone put aside, with the screen lit up as it downloaded the Instagram App.
She asked, "Who's the one who decided on this investment?"
The assistant, Gwen, stood humbly before the table, looking over the desktop computer screen at the boss' table and seeing that she was pointing to a TV series investment records. "It would be Assistant Director Gomez." Gwen answered.
Mikha continued, "Has the cast been chosen already?"
"Not yet," the assistant said. "But it will be decided by tomorrow."
Ding!
Her phone chimed once, indicating a notification.
Mikha eyed it, lifting it up and opening the message.
Aiah had sent a voice message.
She hesitated for a moment, before opening it.
"I was a little drunk yesterday, thanks for sending me home." The background noise was rather loud: her heels clicking on the floor was audible. "As a thank you, can I treat you to dinner? I'm at Diamond Mall right now, can you check if you're available... Hey! What are you doing!? Hey!"
The voice message ended abruptly.
Mikha furrowed her brows, poking around her phone for a moment before looking up and asking, "How do you make a call on Messenger?"
"Huh?" Her assistant got caught off guard for a moment, before she immediately got to teaching Mikha how to make a call on Messenger.
No one picked up, while Gwen's phone rang at this time.
After listening to a few sentences, Gwen covered the speaker and said, "Director Lim, there's some issue happening at Diamond Mall."
Normally. if it's a small thing, there's really no need to report it to the boss, she could just have someone handle it, but when Mikha was listening to the voice message just now, she'd put it on speaker and her assistant had heard everything.
Mikha said nothing, picked up her phone and left the office.
The moment she reached the mall, the mall managers came to her right away, smiling as they said, "Director Lim, what can we help you with Ma'am? Is it urgent? It must be for you to make this trip personally."
Mikha disregarded the questions and just asked, "What happened?"
The managers looked at each other, already knowing what the director is pertaining to.
"It's a little thing, just a little thing." The first mall manager waved his hand, "It's already being settled, you don't need to worry about it Ma'am."
Mikha coldly glanced at him.
"Uhmm it's, it's like this," the second mall manager was starting to sweat. "There's a female customer who wanted to return a piece of clothing bought the day before yesterday, but the clothing had signs of having been washed but there's nothing wrong with its quality so our salesperson refused her request. But she was rather determined and it got physical."
"And?"
The second manager had intended to hide the rest of the story, but he hadn't expected the new boss to be this sharp and know there was something more to it. He could only continue, "Then... another female customer couldn't stand it anymore and returned the favor for the salesperson."
