Throughout the whole conference, the looks Maloi sent Aiah could be interpreted as "Good job", "Our Aiah has such great taste" and "Denise Chu who?' The praise is too much for words to express really.
It was a pity Aiah couldn't find it in herself to feel happy about it.
"This will be our filming schedules," the film representative pushed the file towards Maloi. "Uhm, there were modifications made on the script so the production management made some changes to accommodate those requirements. We believe Miss Arceta would be a wonderful fit for the role."
Maloi picked it up, glanced through it and smiled. "We're good with it."
Maloi knows the production representative was trying his best to explain and sweet talk her and Aiah into joining the production again after whatever changes were decided by management. She didn't wanna make it harder for him, this was good for her and her talent anyway.
That made the representative smile too.
"Since we're all good with this, let's sign the contract."
The contract was placed in front of Aiah.
Aiah picked up the pen and smilingly said, "May I ask what the changes to the script are?"
While being too obvious would be embarrassing, Aiah is still a professional and couldn't actually ignore her work. So what she had to listen to in the conference she had carefully taken note of.
"The new scenes are decided by the scriptwriter, but there's still some changes to be made so I haven't received the whole final script either." The representative smiled, "It sounds like your role has the most changes made to it."
After hearing that, Aiah was a little more eager to start. She thought rather highly of the scriptwriter's ability, so these additional scenes for her character were definitely the cherry on top of the cake. She didn't think twice before she immediately signed her name on the dotted line.
After they had discussed the relevant promotional activities, things were settled.
When the meeting ended, the representative from the filming crew immediately got up and said, "Director Lim, let me send you back ma'am. On the way I can report to you about the status of all the contracts."
"Okay." The woman who had always been silent finally spoke up. She got up, tugging on the sleeve inside the suit and as she did so, clearly showing her being not used to wearing it.
Aiah held her head in her hands, staring at Mikha passionately. When the woman was finished arranging her sleeve and looked up, she met her gaze.
Aiah had a whole expression of 'let's pretend nothing happened' as she winked at her.
Mikha raised an eyebrow -her brows were thick and heavy, enough to make Aiah's mouth water.
Se...Seductive!
Mikha soon stopped looking at her, an inexplicable smile on her lips as she turned around and strode out of the conference room.
"Hurry up and pack up." Maloi, whose attention was on her phone screen the entire time, hadn't noticed their flirting with their eyes as she urged Aiah. "We need to go for a cover page photoshoot."
Aiah asked, confused, "I thought we don't have any schedule today?"
"It's a last minute decision. The magazine originally had an agreement with Pia Wurtzbach, but something came up and she had to leave the country. The magazine production didn't have enough time to change to an international shoot so they asked our management for help," Maloi said. "That magazine has always had a good relationship with our company so the higher ups contacted me to let you go save the day," Maloi continued.
