Aiah was lucky that her birthday coincided with the entire crew's rest day from filming. The live stream schedule was really long, from four in the afternoon to eight in the evening. She felt happy she didn't need to do the live stream after a tiring day from filming.
".... Wait, wait!" Maloi hurriedly stopped her. "You're serious?!"
"Of course."
"Link-Up?!"
Aiah said with confusion, "Yes I'm sure."
Sheena, who was sitting in front of them playing some new online game said slowly, "Didn't you realize that she has been playing Link-Up on her phone lately?"
"Who would look at someone else's phone!" Maloi was so angry she started laughing. "Friendly Link-Up competition, who even taught you?"
"Sheena."
".... she hasn't learnt much about the game but she did learn quite a few online gaming terms."
Aiah, who was downloading Link-Up on her laptop, didn't even look up. "Thanks for the compliment."
"She was not complimenting you." Maloi looked disgusted.
Aiah leaned in and said, "I think that live streaming Link-Up is silly, it's not as good as singing a few songs."
"Never mind that." Maloi made sure to wave off that suggestion firmly.
"Others sing and you'd give them money, she sings and you'd give her your life."
"What do you mean!" Aiah freed a hand to pinch her waist. "That's an exaggeration."
"I would give anything for her to stop singing." Maloi continued.
Sheena said, "Sing something for me."
Aiah put down her mouse at once. After clearing her throat, she sang a refrain on the spot.
Once done, she even raised an eyebrow and asked, "How is it?"
Sheena retreated behind her laptop. ".... after listening to you, I've forgotten what the original sounds like."
This conversation is dead!
And Sheena is dead to her too!
Aiah ignored them both. The live stream time had yet to start; she used her alias to explore and look at the other live streams.
Beside her, Maloi asked, "You didn't want to do a birthday party and wanted to do this live stream instead, but a party is at most one to two hours, this livestream would take a whole four hours."
Aiah's eyes darkened, but her tone was completely uncaring. "Every year it's a birthday party. Even if the fans are not sick of it, I am!"
Actually she only intended to livestream for one hour because she had wanted to spend this year's birthday with Mikha. It's a pity this was not the weekend. When she messaged Mikha this morning, the other replied after a full two hours, saying she was busy.
In the short time they've been together, she had it all figured out. If Mikha was not busy, she'd receive a reply or a call back in basically five minutes; if she did not reply for longer than half an hour, then she was really busy.
She never mentioned her birthday to Mikha, since birthdays had never been an important day to her, not as much as those national holidays were.
But there was.... still that little, tiny, infinitesimal bit of disappointment.
