Aiah had just reached home when she saw the other script that Maloi had left for her to check. Just then, she received a call from her manager.
After answering the call, Maloi said, "Nevermind, it's their loss, we have a lot of other shows we can get. Don't worry."
The script was a typewritten one. Aiah looked through the first few scenes, a little unenthusiastic. 'Undercurrent' had such fierce competition for a reason, it was a rather rare well written script, no wonder Denise dared to openly snatch it away.
Aiah said, "Okay, let's see what happens next."
After she hung up, she tied her hair up, turned around and entered the bathroom.
She'd showered before going out, but after eating Bulalo and skewers, she was not as fresh anymore. She roughly rinsed herself off, wrapped the towel around herself, and moved the laptop to the bed, starting to carefully read through the script.
She was not that far in when the alarm she'd set rang.
Aiah immediately lost the mood to continue reading the script, rolling over and happily picking up her phone.
[Goddess Aiah: I forgot to take my shoe back.]
A few minutes passed without any response.
Waiting made her anxious, and the script was so dry she couldn't handle trying to finish it. She closed the file and randomly clicked open a movie to watch.
The doorbell rang.
No one knows Aiah's address aside from a few media companies. She made sure it's kept private given her previous experience with paparazzis. Some paparazzis used to stalk her for almost half a year, only stopping after not getting any leads.
Aside from her family, only Maloi would come to her house at this time. She got up, and looked out through the peephole.
Gelo held two glasses of wine, his cheeks red. When there was no response, he impatiently pressed the doorbell a few more times.
Aiah tsked and turned around, returning to her bedroom. She didn't intend to open the door at all.
Maybe it's because he was drunk or something else. Today, Gelo was exceptionally patient, standing outside for almost five minutes without walking away.
When no one answered the doorbell, he started banging on the door noisily.
Aiah got off the bed, putting on a big overcoat and making sure it covered everything.
Then she put on the anti-theft chain, opening the door and saying in an unfriendly manner, "What do you want?"
"I knew you were here," Gelo smiled. "Come up and have a drink, almost everyone in the industry is present."
Gelo loved appearances, especially his. If this was someone else, he'll never look small coming down to personally ask Aiah to come to his party.
But when they were playing Truth or Dare at his party, he lost and Colet convinced him to come down and invite Aiah up. He'd been a little tipsy already, unable to handle being teased, so he just brought the wine down with him.
"Not drinking." Aiah prepared to close the door.
"Hey. .. ouch," Gelo didn't think twice about using his hand to block the door, if he went up now without Aiah, how bad would it look? He didn't want to look like a loser. "No, you need to go and show your face."
Aiah asked, "We met in the elevator today, right?"
Gelo nodded, "Yeah."
"That taser you saw, I have three more in my house."
