Aaron Salvatore and Hope Mikaelson. They were a force that should never be challenged. They were the best of friends since their dads were best friends. After Hope's dad died, Hope pushed everyone away. Except Aaron.

If Aaron could change one thing about his current situation, it would be not having to wake up before dawn to check on an imprisoned mud man who was inhabiting the body of one of his best friends. But hey, at least he got first dibs on breakfast. So after he checked on Malivore, he grabbed breakfast and took it to Alaric's office where the squad, excluding Hope, were forming a plan.
"I'm telling you, Hope's not gonna be happy when she finds out about the barrier and that we came up with a plan without her." Aaron said, biting into a piece of bacon from his plate whilst letting Carter take some as well. And as if by magic, Hope came bursting into the room. "Dr. Saltzman, what the hell?" Hope asked. "Told ya." Aaron muttered. "Well, this is awkward. Nobody told me that there was gonna be a Super Squad meeting this morning. Just like nobody told me about the barrier spell that was put up in the gym." Hope said awkwardly after seeing everyone in the room.
"That's because this is an emergency session about how we're gonna deal with Malivore. And how you fit into that plan." Alaric told Hope, who shrugged lightly. "Then I'm all ears. Plan away." Hope said. "Not my plan." Alaric said before everyone looked towards MG. "Cleo's the key to all of this, our problem being that Landon... Mali... Malivore... Malidon. Has consumed her. Which means we have to assume that she's in the belly of the beast, in the pocket dimension inside of Mali... whatever." MG spoke.
"It's Malivore. Just call him Malivore. That's who he is now. Until we get Landon back." Aaron told MG, who nodded. "Yeah, I've been there twice, so you can skip to the actual plan." Hope said. "If we can find Cleo, she may be able to inspire us with a way to get her out." MG told her. "And what's about Landon?" Hope asked. "Took longer than I expected, but there it is. Does someone else want to tell her, or should I?" Lizzie spoke.
"Cleo's the target of this mission." Alaric informed Hope. "But we're obviously hoping that she can inspire a way for us to save Landon as well." Aaron assured Hope. "Okay, and how do we get inside Malivore, besides him eating us?" Hope asked. "Malivore thinks that being inside of Landon's body is protecting him, but the way I see it, that's his greatest weakness, which Kaleb and I can exploit with our vampire strength." MG explained.
"Hmm. The exhaust port on the Death Star." Hope said. "Exactly." Lizzie, Aaron and Carter said simultaneously. "It's a good plan. Why didn't you guys tell me sooner?" Hope said confused. "'Cause of the way you are with things when it comes to Landon. Don't get us wrong, you're our best weapon, no doubt, but we get one shot at this, Hope. We can't have you going off the rails and blowing everything up." Kaleb told Hope, who looked hurt by his words.
"I wouldn't do that. Is that seriously what you guys think?" Hope spoke, looking around at everyone before landing on Aaron, who shook his head lightly, telling her he didn't think that. "We know you, Hope, it's why we put up the barrier spell in the first place." Josie said softly. "We thought maybe you should sit this one out." Lizzie added. "I'm totally on board. Cleo is our best chance to bring both her and Landon back... I would never jeopardize that. I'm really sorry that you guys think that I would. But I can help. I will help, so please, just let me." Hope told the group.
