At Whitmore College, a class full of students were sat in a shaded room, the curtains draped closed as a projector at the back of the class came the life, displaying an image of the Pyramids onto the screen at the front of the class. "Behold, one of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World. Does anyone know the name of this majestic sight?" The professor spoke before stepping in front of the screen, the projector light shining onto him, revealing him to be Professor Vardemus. No one raised their hand or made a sound as Vardemus looked at them.
"Come, now. Your parents spend a great deal of money to send you to this institution." Vardemus told them before a student coughed quietly. "As Virgil once wrote, 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained'." Vardemus quoted before seeing a young female student sat near the front of the class. "You're a new face, and judging by that unseasonable cap, plenty bold?" He spoke. "Um, the Great Pyramid of Giza, my man." She said, gesturing to the screen slightly. "Ha. At least someone's been paying attention. Lights, please." Vardemus said before a student turned the lights on.
"This architectural marvel was the tallest structure in the world for over 3000 years. But for all we know about them, the pyramids remain a mystery to this day. How were they built? Why? For the sole purpose of burying the kings of Egypt, or by some higher power for a reason as yet unknown? And if we dare to consider the latter, by whom?" Vardemus spoke dramatically. "Aliens, bro." One of the students called out, causing others to laugh.
"To think supernatural forces or alien life do not exist in some form or fashion is both shortsighted and deeply narcissistic. Does anyone here believe such things are possible? Or are you all taking this class simply to mock me?" Vardemus spoke, turning to look at the screen. "I believe." A voice spoke causing Vardemus to freeze and turn to see Aaron stood in the back corner, arms crossed over his chest. "Yes. I am quite certain you do." Vardemus agreed causing Aaron to raise his brow slightly.
"Who actually knows who or what built the pyramids? Could have been people, could have been aliens, could have been gods. We'll never know. We can only speculate and create crazy conspiracy theories or use history and science to try create logic in something we know nothing about. But the truth is, sometimes logic isn't enough. Sometimes you just need to believe in something that doesn't seem believable. Like this." Aaron said before raising his hand and snapping his fingers.
All the students eyes glowed purple before they all stood up and left the classroom in a hypnotic state. Aaron watched them all leave before looking back at Vardemus. "We need to talk. And I need to show you something. I left it in your office." Aaron said.
