Aaron hated people

Aaron hated people. That was a well known thing about him. He hated how some people walked at the pace of snails and had no special awareness. He hated how some people acted so entitled that they thought they deserved everything and didn't have to face any consequences. He hated how some people- he hates people. Simple as that. But now, he hates them even more thanks to his newly heightened emotions. But what he currently hates the most about people was the blood pumping through their veins.

God, he hated how much he needed to feed on it. How the sweet, intoxicating smell surrounded him. And his heightened senses didn't add anything good to the mixture either. He literally felt every strand of hair itching against his skin. So, he cut his hair but that didn't help much. He could literally hear every single little thing around him. Smell everything. See so much clearer. I guess it's safe to say his new life had its ups and downs. Currently he had no idea where he was. And he didn't care. Hope just dragged him away after stealing a car and they ended up in a bar. A bar which didn't have that many people inside much to Aaron's liking.

The two were sat at the bar and the bartender was looking at Hope's school ID after she asked for a drink. "Is there a problem or something?" Hope asked. "Several. None worth wasting my breath on." The bartender answered before throwing her school ID away. "We didn't come here to talk, either. We came here to drink." Aaron spoke, shrugging his jacket off. "Grab us a bottle of tequila. We're gonna need a chaser." Hope told the bartender, compelling him. He stared at her for a few moments before walking away.

"I'm changing this crappy music." Aaron said, standing up and walking over to the jukebox, looking over the song options. Hope looked over at the other end of the bar, seeing a young woman sat with a beer in front of her. "You'll do." Hope said as a different song began playing in the bar. A few moments later, the two were dancing to some country music, that somehow changed from the song Aaron chose, whilst Aaron just poured shot after shot of tequila, burying the urge to feed. "So... you want another drink?" The young woman asked Hope before starting to walk away.

Hope quickly pulled her back and twirled her so her back was to Hope. "I'll get it myself." Hope said, brushing some of the woman's hair away from her neck and letting her Tribrid face show. Aaron saw the action and rolled his eyes slightly, slamming an empty shot glass down on the bar.

She went to sink her fangs into the woman's neck before a voice stopped her. "Mind if I cut in?" The familiar voice spoke. Aaron's head shot up at the voice before slowly turning his head, seeing his aunt Rebekah stood in front of Hope and the woman. "Who's this classy bitch?" The young woman asked and Aaron raised a brow before speeding over in front of her, looking her in the eyes. "Someone worth every bit of respect you can muster. Make sure to show it." Aaron told her, compelling her before turning to Rebekah, smiling and hugging her. Rebekah hugged him back. "Hello, little shadow." Rebekah greeted. "Hi, aunt Rebekah." Aaron responded before pulling away, still smiling.

"What, no hug for me?" Another voice asked as someone walked into the bar. Aaron looked at the person even more shocked. "Aunt Emma?" He asked. Emma Salvatore stood beside Rebekah, smiling widely. "Did you miss me or what?" Emma asked. Aaron grinned hugging her tightly. Emma chuckled, hugging her nephew back. "It's been too long, little one. Thought you'd be happier to see us." Rebekah spoke to her niece. "I was happy. And then I saw you." Hope replied.
