Aaron Salvatore and Hope Mikaelson. They were a force that should never be challenged. They were the best of friends since their dads were best friends. After Hope's dad died, Hope pushed everyone away. Except Aaron.

Salvatore Boarding School
Ever since Alaric let Malivore go with Ethan, the school hadn't stopped in their search for them. The witches performing locator spells, the werewolves running around town searching different areas and the vampires speeding around town and listening out for anything. But no one could find anything. Aaron was in the room with a group of witches performing locator spells. He paced around the room, looking at all the different maps of Mystic Falls.
Lizzie looked up from her map, shaking her head at Aaron, who sighed. Hope stood in the doorway, looking at her boyfriend who shook his head at her. Hope sighed before walking away as Riven came walking into the room, his tail swaying behind him slowly. "Ok, everyone take 5. Gather your thoughts. Get something to eat or drink. Collect your energy. No point in weakening yourselves." Aaron told the witches, who nodded before leaving.
Aaron picked Riven up, sighing lightly as he rubbed his thumb lightly across the top of the familiar's head. In the hallway, Hope spotted the werewolves preparing to go searching again. "All right, next part of the grid. Let's go." Jed told the group. Carter looked at Hope, nodding at her. "We'll find them." He told her before following after the rest of the wolves. Hope watched him rush away before making her way to Alaric's office, seeing him on speaker phone with Kaleb listening in on the call and Dorian stood by the desk.
"Sorry, Dr. Saltzman, but I just checked with the dispatcher. No sign of your missing students." Someone spoke on the other end. "Okay. Thanks. I'll, uh, try again later." Alaric said before hanging up. "Yeah, all I could hear in the background was someone calling to complain about their neighbor's dog." Kaleb told Alaric who sighed before looking at Hope. "Any luck with Aaron and the locator spells?" He asked. "Aaron knew Malidon would be cloaking himself. The locator spells just proved that theory." Hope answered. "So, what do we do next?" Kaleb asked.
"For now, nothing. If the wolves pick up a scent, then we'll have options, but until then, we wait." Alaric answered. "You can't be serious." Hope said. "This is a hostage situation, Hope. Malivore has Landon, Cleo, Ethan. If we do something reckless, we could risk losing all three." Alaric told her. "Okay. Well, maybe we shouldn't have let him walk out of the gym where we had him locked up." Hope retorted. "There was no time to get help, so I had to make a judgment call." Alaric said.
"Kind of like the judgment call that you two made not to tell me and Aaron about Landon?" Hope shot back. Dorian coughed awkwardly before speaking. "Think I'll head back to the school. Wish me luck." He spoke and started to walk out of the office before stopping. "Oh, and... Hope's right. You should've told her and Aaron." Dorian spoke and Hope looked at Alaric and Kaleb smugly as Dorian left. "Well, at least it's not just Aaron who thinks I can handle difficult news." Hope spoke.
"That is not why we kept it from you and Aaron." Alaric told her. "Then why?" Hope asked only to be met with silence and a look between Alaric and Kaleb. "Fine. Keep your secrets. I'll deal with Malidon myself." Hope said before using her magic to open the hidden arsenal behind the bookcase and summoning a sword. "Look, Hope, I can only imagine the pressure that you're feeling, but this could make things worse." Alaric said as Hope placed the leather scabbard that held the sword over her back.
