Richelle

We're here! Finally here!

Almost all of us start looking around excitedly as soon as we see the DanceMania stage. I say almost, as Ozzy and Kingston have barely said or done anything since this morning.

Do I think something wrong has happened with them? Yes. Do I actually think it makes this day better? 100%!

Do hope their little drama doesn't fuck up our performance today though.

"Alright guys!" I clap my hands together, getting all their attention. "I know this is all really exciting. But, we should probably get started on our routine while we have the stage for an hour,"

~~~
I'm cleaning up my eyeliner, when there is a knock on the dressing-room door. We're going on in less then an hour, and I will not admit it to anyone, but my stomach has been churning so much!
It was fine for a bit after a reassuring phone-call with Noah, but it's all just come back now that we're going on so soon. He said he wished he could come, and even if he wasn't happy with us choosing DanceMania, I know he meant it. But, Nationals is happening next week, so he's already stretched thin.
When I open the door, I find Piper on the other side. A bit of warmth passes through me when I take her in.
Amy's costume is different than everyone else's for our first routine, as she is the main part of the dance. But, with Heath leaving, we only have 11 people on the team. Meaning we have 6 other girls and 4 guys..
Which is a good number anyway, but we all decided we wanted a 50/50 divide in costume. Meaning Piper is stood in-front of me in a white, button-up shirt, with the 2 top buttons undone, and a tight pair of grey, dress-up pants.
What is this feeling? It's not unpleasant, but it's just confusing.
"Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something before we go on." Piper tells me why she's here. "Oh, um...you look really pretty in that by the way.
"Thank you, you look really good in that by the way." That...that is not how I meant to word it.
Piper clearly finds it amusing. Judging by the smirk on her face when she crosses her, admittedly strong, arms.
"Good, am I?" She says in a smug voice.
"Shut up-" I'm preparing to say that anyway, like I do to anyone that embarrasses me.
But, the Piper takes a step forward, and I look back up. Her taller frame stands over me, and I can't back away. Her lips are devoid of lipstick, like the rest of us, and I soon find looking at the alluring.
"Fuck it. I came in here to do this."
And that's how I soon found myself sitting on the desk I was just sat at, Piper between my legs, as we make out!
This is far from how I expected today to go. But, I find myself not caring.
Piper, she's...someone that I've known for years. Even if I thought she was a bit pathetic when I first met her, I've always admired how sure of of her appearance and mannerisms she in. How she doesn't let anyone else dictate how she presents or acts.
I just think this year that that admiration has run a bit deeper.
Her hands are tangled in my hair, when there is a call through the door.
"Hey Richelle, we have around or minutes or so before we go on!" Jacquie says to us.
Piper and I look at each-other. I really like what we're doing now, but maybe we should save this for later.
"I should uh...touch back up on my make-up." I teel her after catching the smudge of red on her lips.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." She leans away from me and starts to head out. "I'll see you onstage then. Bye for now, Chelle." She winks at me.
"Bye" I giggle back.
