"I'm telling you that this is a bad idea!" Emily and I are in studio-a's office, like we have been for the last 10 minutes, instead of starting rehearsals.

"And I'm telling you that it's not your decision to make. You're only the Head Choreographer now, Noah, not the Studio Head or even the Dance Captain. The spot that I'm choosing to fill with Summer since you left it." Emily smiles at me in that condescending way.

"Weren't you the one that was vouching for Richelle to take over this job when she was old enough? Why have you suddenly turned against her."

Up until last year, Emily would do everything in her power to protect Richelle. She saw her as a younger version of herself, and even like a sister, which Richelle told me she shared the sentiment of. Now it's like she hates that she even exists.

"Richelle...still has a bit of a way to go. She may have grown, but she still has that bit of child-like bratty attitude to her." Oh come one! Even she sounds unsure of her words.

"Is it you saying that or Michelle?" I mumble as I follow behind her. Emily pauses for just a second, her shoulders squaring up. She obviously heard what I said. But, all she does is just continue to walk, her heels clacking.

What the fuck what that rehearsal?! All I can remember is Emily telling us that Summer is going to be our new Dance Captain and Richelle going apeshit over that fact. It took both Noah and Jacquie to hold her back from pouncing at Emily for that decision. A part of me also feels a bit bad for Summer, as she clearly didn't want the job.

Hm, maybe this will finally be the year a murder mystery happens in this place. I thought for sure it was gonna happen a couple years ago when Beth, a girl that used to be on b-troupe's, boyfriend cheated on her. With another guy I might add! But, nothing.

Would at-least make the drama around her a bit more interesting.

Right now I've just headed up to the rooftop for a smoke. Most of the people here tend to use it for the same purpose. So, I'm lucky I got it to myself. Or, I did, for a few minutes anyway.

Kenzie takes a seat next to me on the wall, her braids slightly hitting my arm.

"Today was fucking crazy, huh?" She says. "I was actually beginning to think that Richelle was going to kill Emily."

"Oh, she definitely would if she could get her hands on her."

Most people that talk to me I tend to ignore. But, Kenzie's alright. She spends most of her time with Richelle and Jacquie, and actually sucker punched Ozzy once when he wolf whistled at her when she wore a new pair of tight, yellow leggings to rehearsals. Because of this, I decide to offer her one of my spliffs, which she she thanks me for before taking.

"Don't know what has gotten into Emily lately. I know you have been going to this place longer than me, but even when I started here, her and Richelle were inseparable." Then she takes a puff from between her index and middle finger.

"Your guess is as good as mine." I shrug. "Noah says he thinks it's something to do with Michelle. Her and Richelle have been at each-other's throats ever since she got here."

That day of j-troupe rehearsals is one I try to forget.
