sadie stared down at her phone, looking at the read message. the tanned girl had texted paige earlier this week but still had not received a response. sadie wanted to think it was just because she was wore out from practices, but when she see videos of the team out and her and azzi in the background, she knew the blonde was just ignoring her.

sadie
me when i lie..?
cause you posted up at parties on ur friends story
but can't text your so called girlfriend back!
yeah no problem there paige.
sadie threw her phone down on the bed letting a sigh escape her mouth. this was the part she hated about relationships; the fighting. sadie always seemed to get with people who can't express their feelings well, this was a prime example.
sadie looked at the time, 7:45pm. it was a friday night meaning the town would be loud tonight with partying college students. the tanned girl fought hard against going, but something in her told her to go.
at times like this she wish she didn't listen. she wished she stayed home. she wouldn't be face with reality of what her relationship had become. or maybe she would still have one.
the loud music blasted through the bar. sadie scrunched her face due to the loud sound hurting her ears. she fully didn't understand why she was here, but she wanted to enjoy it while she could.
"oh my god sadiee! you're here!" nika called out grabbing the attention of the shorter tanned girl. sadie let out a smile before wrapping her arms around the tall brunette, giving her a hug.
"hi nika. weird question but have you seen paige?" sadie asked with a tone in her voice that nika didn't recognize. it was shaky, like she didn't want to know but still asked.
"oh yeah she's over by jana." nika replied giving the girl a small smile. sadie nodded looking over at a table where paige, jana, azzi, and kk all sat. her feet slowly dragged behind her, dreading the conversation that would come up.
"sadie!" kk yelled taking notice of the girl. sadie returned a smile, slowly stepping closer to the group. there was an tension between paige and sadie that anyone could read. the rest of the girls excused themselves and left the two girls alone.
"so..what are you doing here?" paige asked. sadie turned to look at her fighting a scoff that wanted to slip out. sadie sighed before looking at the girl fully.
"can we talk somewhere? where it's not so loud." sadie asked looks up at paige. paige was hesitant with her response but agreed walking slowly behind the tanned girl.
"look. i don't know what's going on, but i need you to talk to me." sadie sighed out, letting her feet splash in water due to the rain that was falling.
"sadie look. i really like you but we just need to call whatever this is off. you're in my way. its not working. im sorry, i just need to focus right now." paige let the words fly out like it was nothing. but to sadie it was everything.
"are you serious right now? need to focus? that's your lame ass excuse to break up with me. you're fucking funny bueckers." sadie laughed out. paige sighed looking at the girl but couldn't say another word due to the tanned girl cutting her off.
"i let you in my space. my fucking space paige. i let myself get comfortable around you. i let you pull me out of my whole. i let myself go for you. i fucking gave you me. " sadie responded but her voice breaking through, but she refused to cry in front of the blonde.
" what's fucking worse is that you made me fall in love with you bueckers."
sadie finally let the tears fall as she said the words she never wanted to say out loud. the words that's haunted her. the words she never thought she'd say again. sadie let her feet turn around and walk away from the blonde.
paige stood there, her face was blank. her mind was racing. her heart was breaking. paige couldn't explain the feeling, it's like she didn't care but cared too much all at one.
the rain drops hit both the girls face, but both of them going different directions. sadie walking towards her home, that would feel empty again. paige walking back into the bar, with a unreadable face.
the girls were walking in a different direction. walking away from each other, walking away from what they were.
BAD IDEA.
