chapter eighteen.
sadie looked at herself in the mirror one last time before the blonde arrived at her apartment. she did light makeup as she let her hair fall into her natural curls.
"you look fine, stop stressing." nika said from over the phone. sadie rolled her eyes at the girls words before letting a sigh slip out.
"i dont feel fine. ugh ive did this so many times, why is it more stressful now?" sadie asked as she looked down at her phone.
sadie had called nika to help with an outfit and she had been on the phone ever since. nika sat on her bed examining the girl.
"it's more stressful because it's paige. but you know exactly what's gonna happen and what your gonna say. stop stressing. you look good, i love you and goodbye."
sadie groaned before hanging the phone up and looking at herself once more before she heard a knock being placed on the door. the tanned girl let a sigh out before she made her way into the living room.
as sadie opened the door she was faced with a smiling paige and white tulips. her favorite flowers. sadie smiled at the small thought of the blonde remembering her favorite flowers.
"you remembered my favorite flowers?" sadie asked as she took them from her hands. paige nodded with a smile before she spoke.
"of course i remembered. you're a hard person to forget brown." paige replied with a smile. sadie smiled down at the flowers as she put them in water and sat them on the counter.
"come on, we have somewhere to be." paige said as she held out her hand. sadie took her hand in hers and locked the door behind them and they existed her apartment.
"sooo where are we going??" sadie said giving the blonde a small smile. paige shook her head with a small smile on her face.
"nope. you aren't doing that." paige replied without looking down at the girl. the blonde knew if she had looked down at the girl she would have gave in.
sadie groaned as she threw her head back hitting the blonde in the arm slightly. " you're no fun."
paige walked behind the girl as sadie followed the man in front of them showing them to their table. the blonde kept her hand on the girls back, letting it fall slowly as they reached their table.
the restaurant had a comfortable vibe filling the place. it was simple but elegant. it was a place where sadie belonged to be. well one of the many places the girl belonged to be.
"so what's the plan for tonight?" sadie asked trying to get the blonde to spill details about their date. paige shook her head with a little laugh as she looked at the girl from across her.
"not telling. it's not a surprise if i tell you, is it?" paige questioned with a smile on her face making sadie slightly groan out loud.
"you're killing me here bueckers." sadie sighed out before she turned away to take in the view of the restaurant. the girl had lived in storrs since she started college, she didn't realize how she failed to notice all the beautiful places it had to offer. places that would soon become her favorites.
the night seemed to drag on. the two sat at the restaurant for the longest time catching up on stuff from the time the two girls were apart. if you had looked at them from across the room, you wouldn't be able to tell they were working their way back to having a relationship again.
the sound of cars passing by took over sadies ears as the two stood out on her small deck attached to her apartment building. the sound of laughter filling the air as paige said some stupid joke.
the night seemed to be like one of the many's they shared before. the two didn't slip into an awkward stage the whole night.
the sound of the blonde calling sadies name caused her to turn her head to look at the blonde who was standing beside the girl. there was a glint in her eyes. a glint that sadie could get use to forever. it the same glint that sadie had in her eyes everytime she looked at the blonde.
"i really enjoyed today but there's something else i want to talk to you about. or well technically ask you." paige stated as she stood in front of sadie, she was slightly leaning on the rail but sadie kept her arm on the blonde.
"there was a part of me that never thought id be able to stand in front of you again and tell you how much i loved you. you came into my life and for some reason i let you go. that was one of the biggest mistakes i ever made in my life. you, sadie brown, are someone i never want to let go of again." paige rambled on and on until the tanned girl had tears welling up inside her eyes, begging to slip out.
"sadie brown, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" paige asked with a slight smile. sadie immediately nodded and pulled the blonde into a hug.
"god you really love to make me cry don't you?" sadie said as she pulled away. she attempted to wipe the tear that had fallen but paige beat her to it. paige smiled down at the girl and wrapped her arms around her.
"no i just love you." paige said placing her chin down ontop of sadies head. sadie pulled away and placed a kiss onto the blondes lips.
"you know nikas gonna lose her shit right?"
BAD IDEA.
