**Taylor's POV**

The following days passed in a whirlwind of excitement and anticipation. After announcing the pregnancy to both my family and Travis's, I felt like I was finally able to breathe. The weight of the secret that had been hanging over me for weeks was finally gone, and the support from everyone we loved made everything feel so much more real.

We spent most of the week at home, catching up with friends and family, making plans, and just being with each other. It was a peaceful time, but there was an underlying sense of change in the air, and I couldn't ignore it. I kept wondering what my life would look like once the baby arrived. Would it change everything? Would I still have the freedom I had now? But whenever I looked at Travis, all my worries seemed to melt away.

His unwavering support was everything I needed. It was as though he had been preparing for this moment long before I even realized it. He took care of me, but not just in the practical sense—he made sure my emotions were balanced, he listened to me, and he made me feel like I could do anything. I was so lucky to have him by my side.

I woke up one morning, feeling the familiar flutter in my stomach. It was early, too early for most people, but Travis had already woken up and was quietly making coffee in the kitchen. I smiled to myself, knowing I'd be with him in a few moments. I stood up, stretched, and made my way downstairs.

"Good morning," I said, as I entered the kitchen.

He looked up from the coffee maker and smiled. "Hey, sleepyhead. You're up early."

I walked over to him, wrapped my arms around his waist, and leaned my head on his chest. "I couldn't sleep. Just thinking about everything. The baby. Our future."

He turned, wrapping his arms around me tightly, as if to comfort me. "It's okay to think about it, Tay. This is a huge change, but we're doing it together. We'll figure it out, one step at a time."

I sighed, feeling the weight of my emotions for the first time. The baby was real now, and my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine. It was terrifying, but exciting too.

"I know," I whispered. "But sometimes I wonder if I'm ready."

He pulled back slightly to look at me, his eyes full of understanding. "You don't have to have everything figured out right now. We'll learn as we go. I'm right here with you, okay?"

I nodded, grateful for his words. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Travis."

He kissed the top of my head and then reached for the coffee cup he'd just poured. "Well, you won't have to find out."

**The Baby's second Doctor's Visit**

The days flew by, and before I knew it, it was time for our next doctor's appointment. We were going to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, and I could hardly contain my excitement. Travis, being the amazing partner he was, had insisted on coming with me. He wouldn't have missed it for the world.

We arrived at the clinic, and as we walked through the doors, I felt a wave of nerves rush over me. This was it—the moment I had been waiting for. I had read all the books, had all the advice from my friends, and talked to my family. But hearing that little heartbeat, knowing that something so precious was growing inside me... I could barely comprehend it.

The nurse called us in, and we sat on the examination table, waiting for the doctor. Travis held my hand, his thumb gently rubbing over my skin. It was a small gesture, but it reassured me more than anything. He was here, supporting me, like he always would.
