Chapter 6: Netherrealm

"New arrival!"

Liu Kang groaned as he heard the voice exclaiming. When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying on the floor. He was surrounded by the same girl who just kissed him.

"He must be fainted! Are you alright?" The girl said, worried. She checked his well-being, making sure he was alright.

"What happened?" Liu Kang said, confused. Then he was surrounded by the living dead people. They were checking on him in curiosity.

"By Jove, man! Looks like we've got ourselves a breather."

"Does he have a dead brother!?"

"He's still soft!"

Liu Kang stood up and looked over his surroundings. He found himself standing in front of the bar. He figured they were having a good time. He was scared and confused about what was happening.

"A toast then! To the newlyweds!"

"Newlyweds!?"

"Yes. In the woods, you said your vows so perfectly." The girl said as she showed him the wedding ring she was wearing.

He gasped as he realized what he had done. "I did!?" Then he tried to believe it was a dream, but it turned out to be a living nightmare. No, it was realistic to him.

Liu Kang noticed the demon cat with red wings and a red hat was serving the customers some alcohol. Liu Kang stood up and stared at the demon cat.

"This isn't a dream, kid. It's real. Welcome to Hell." The demon cat said.

"More like Netherrealm," some demon said.

"Netherrealm!?" Liu Kang's eyes widened in shock.

"My name's Husk, by the way. I'm serving drinks for everyone. Nifty and I will be creating your wedding feast." Husk said, smirking.

"Wedding feast!? I'm salivating!" The white cat exclaimed.

Liu Kang got jumped and scared by the white cat. Then he started to freak out as he backed away. He collapsed, giving everyone's attention.

He stood up and summoned his power with fire, scaring everyone. He was also aiming at the girl who claimed to be his bride.

"I got a power and I'm not afraid to use it! I want some questions! Now!" Liu Kang said.

"You mean answers?" Husk said.

"Oh, right...! Answers! I want some answers! What's going on here!? Where am I!? Who are you!?" Liu Kang demanded.

"Well... it's kind of a long story," the girl said, looking down sadly.

Then the Radio Demon appeared, giving everyone's attention. "What a story it is. A tragic tale of romance, passion, and murder most foul."

"What ar--" He was cut off by the Radio Demon with a handshake.

"Alastor! A pleasure to be meeting you, son! Quite a pleasure! I want to congratulate you for the newlyweds! And I'm here to perform this music to tell you a story." Alastor said, grinning.

"Um... okay... Tell me." Liu Kang awkwardly murmured.

"This is gonna be good," the Spider Demon said with a smirk.

It was then Alastor began to sing a song when the music started to play.

At least those of you who still got an ear

Well our girl is a beauty known for miles around
When a mysterious stranger came into town

So they conjured up a plan to meet late at night
They told not a soul, kept the whole thing tight
Now, her mother's wedding dress fit like a glove
You don't need much when you're really in love

Like the family jewels and a satchel of gold
Then next to the graveyard by the old oak tree
On a dark foggy night at a quarter to three
She was ready to go, but where was he?

She waited

There in the shadows, was it her man?

Now when she opened her eyes she was dead as dust
Her jewels were missing and her heart was bust
So she made a vow lying under that tree
That she'd wait for her true love to come set her free
Always waiting for someone to ask for her hand
When out of the blue comes this groovy young man
Who vows forever to be by her side
And that's the story of our own corpse bride

While this was going on, Liu Kang had a chance to escape from Hazbin Hotel, so he would find a way to get back to Earthrealm.
