Jerrod, the former king of Edendia and the real father of Kitana, overhears the news that his daughter will be marrying Prince Demande. He also had seen it all about Kung Lao's death and Raiden's imprisonment. Now he was concerned Shinnok would be returned.
"Oh, no! I've got to warn Liu Kang!" Jerrod said before he vanished into the shadow.

Liu Kang and Scrapes went to check on Serenity. Scrapes wanted him to offer her some roses, so they would be made up. He sighed, agreeing with the undead dog. He picked the roses and entered the room where he found Serenity playing piano.
"Serenity... I think you dropped this," Liu Kang said, trying his best to make her feel better.
Serenity ignored him as she continued to play the piano.
"I'm sorry I lied to you about to see my family. It's just this whole day hasn't gone quite... well... according to plan." Liu Kang said as he sat next to her.
It was then he started to play the piano, making Serenity impressed a bit. She played it back. Liu Kang played the solo. It seems like the two were having fun. Hilariously, her left hand popped out and played the piano at the end of the solo by itself.
"Pardon my enthusiasm," Serenity giggled, eventually smiling.
"I like your enthusiasm," Liu Kang said as he gave her back her left hand.
"New arrival!! New arrival!" Suddenly they heard the bell ringing, causing Liu Kang and Serenity's attention.
