Chapter 11: Tears To Shed

When they got back to Hell, Serenity pushed Liu Kang away in anger, shouting, "You lied to me just to get back to that other woman!"

"Don't you understand? You're the other woman." Liu Kang said.

"No! You're married to me! She's the other woman!" Then Serenity started to cry, making Liu Kang feel bad. He looked at Stolas awkwardly, asking him what he could do to stop her from crying.

He shrugged off. "She's got a point."

"And I thought... I thought this was all going well..." Then her left eye popped out as Serenity continued to cry, so Liu Kang decided to give her left eye back.

"Look, I'm sorry, but... this just can't work," Liu Kang said.

"Why not? It's my eye, isn't it?" Serenity asked.

He shook his head. "No! Your eye is... lovely." He said, "Listen, under different circumstances, well, who knows? But we're just too different. I mean, you're dead."

"You should've thought of that before you asked me to marry you," Serenity argued.

"Why can't you understand? It was a mistake. I would never marry you." Liu Kang argued back.

She gasped at hearing this. Staring at him for three seconds, Serenity stormed off crying. Liu Kang messed at big times.

Serenity went to her coffin and continued to cry. She began to pick the wilted petals angrily. It was then Artemis and the female black cat came to check on her. They were so worried about the poor Corpse Bride. Scrapes came to see her as well when he watched her throwing the flowers away.

"Why so blue?" The female black cat asked.

"Maybe he's right, Luna. Maybe we were too different." Serenity said.

"Maybe he should have his head examined," Artemis said.

"Artemis!" Luna said as she hit him in the back of his head.

"Ow! What just saying!? I mean, I could do it!" Artemis said.

"Or perhaps he does belong to her. Little Miss Living. With her rosy cheeks and beating heart." Serenity said in jealousy.

"Oh, those girls are ten a penny. You've got so much more. You've got... You've got..." Luna tried to say something to make Serenity feel better.

"You've got a wonderful personality," Luna said. Then she and Artemis began to sing a song.

What does that wispy little brat have that you don't have double?
She can't hold a candle to the beauty of your smile

How about a pulse?
Overrated by a mile

And that silly little creature isn't wearing his ring
And she doesn't play piano

No she doesn't compare

But she still breathes air

The sure redeeming feature
From that little creature
Is that she's alive

Which is cured very quickly when we meet our fate

At the end, Serenity's tears drip to the floor, making Luna and Artemis feel bad for the Corpse Bride, who had tears to shed.
