Two weeks later,
Bucky was standing at the bottom of their stairs in his dress blues.
"Doll baby I love you but please don't make us late." He yelled up the stairs.
She emerged at the top of the stairs, and he gulped. She made her way down he took her hand as she reached the last step.
She smiled at him, "What's with the smile?" He said
"You always make me feel like I'm in one of those old romantic movies when I see you dressed like this waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs." She said
He kissed her hand which made her giggle. "I love you, and you look absolutely gorgeous." He said
"Thank you." She said
"You're welcome." He said
They left for the ball while the babysitter put the twins for the night. Bucky was introducing her to everyone, and they danced the night away.
Winnie seen them, "James? Did he ever tell you what happened last year? You never said anything to me."
James looked at Winnie, "He may be cautious Winnie, but I know him better than you think I do. He was scared that he wouldn't have kids or a wife that he had nothing to show if he died over there. When that one is scared he does tend to jump in cause he thinks it will make things less scary. I remember his first swimming lesson when he was 4 years old..he didn't think it through he just jumped in, he has moments in his life where he jumps before he leaps." James said as they watched him dance and flirt with Tessa.
