"Col Barnes.." James said as he answered his office phone.
"Col Barnes, this Lt Fredrick Massey I wanted to let you know that we had to send your son to the hospital..there was a ambush." Lt Massey said
"James.." he whispered
"Yes sir." Lt Massey said
"Thank you for letting me know Lt.." James said and hung up.
He made a few more phone calls, and went directly home.
"Winnie!! Tessa!!" He said as he came through the door.
They both came running out of the kitchen.
"James honey what is the matter?" Winnie said
"Both of you pack a bag, Coy and his wife are taking the twins. James has been flown to the hospital in Germany there was an ambush and he was hurt." James said
"Oh my gosh!!! No!!! No!!!" Tessa screamed and cried.
James hugged her, "He's going to be ok, we just need to go." James said
They went with James to the military jet he set up for them. They landed, and went directly to the hospital. James spoke with the staff and Bucky's doctor as well. He relayed all the information to Winnie and Tessa.
Once they get in the room, she grabs his hand and kissed his forehead. A tear drop fell on his cheek as he started to wake up.
"Hey gorgeous, no tears Im fine." He said as he kissed her.
James cleared his throat when he deepened the kiss.
"Mom dad.." he said
"You'll be coming home with us to GA." James said
"Oh thank God I can finally see my boys and hold my wife." Bucky said
They got Bucky sedated for the flight, and into a stretcher on the jet. As they were on the flight Winnie looked over at Tessa sleeping and holding hands with him.
"Tessa.." Winnie said
She woke up, "Yeah.." she whispered
"Honey I have made this a rule for all my daughters and daughter in laws for when their husbands come home. I was told this by my mother." Winnie said
"Ok.." Tessa said
"When we get home, you need to sleep in one of the guest rooms with the twins just until he is ready to sleep without nightmares. He's going to need to sleep alone for now while he is doing therapy." Winnie said
"Ok, I understand." She said
"Winnie let me know the rule during my first deployment. I told her that we needed to make this a rule for all our girls once she explained that she wasn't mad at me." James said
Tessa wiped a few tears.
